An employee of the federal government was just arrested after BETRAYING his country in one of the worst ways possible… simply because he doesn’t like President Donald Trump.

According to the DOJ, 28-year-old Nathan Vilas Laatsch, an IT specialist for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) was caught trying to provide classified national defense information to a foreign government.

The Justice Department says that Laatsch offered to transmit classified information to the foreign government because he did not “agree or align with the values of this administration” and was therefore “willing to share classified information.”

The “values” of this administration have been pretty clearly America-first from the start so if Laatsch hates America… then it’s not exactly surprising that he would try to betray it in this way.

Laatsch had Top Secret clearance which means he had access to sensitive materials including “completed intelligence products, some unprocessed intelligence, and other assorted classified documentation.”

According to the Justice Department, Laatsch became a civilian employee of the DIA in 2019, working in the “Insider Threat Division” (oh the irony.)

“In March 2025, the FBI commenced an operation after receiving a tip that an individual — now known to be Laatsch — offered to provide classified information to a friendly foreign government,” the DOJ said.

Even worse, Laatsch told this unnamed foreign government that he was willing to do so because he hates President Trump!

The DOJ added, “After multiple communications with an FBI agent — who Laatsch allegedly believed to be an official of the foreign government — Laatsch began transcribing classified information to a notepad at his desk and, over the course of approximately three days, repeatedly exfiltrated the information from his workspace. Laatsch subsequently confirmed to the FBI agent that he was prepared to transmit the information.”

On May 1, 2025, the bureau set up a fake information drop operation where Laatsch thought he would be handing the classified info over to a foreign government official – but it was really just an FBI agent.

FBI surveillance observed Laatsch proceed to the specified location and deposit an item. Following Laatsch’s departure, the FBI retrieved the item, which was a thumb drive later found to contain a message from Laatsch and multiple typed documents, each containing information that was portion-marked up to the Secret or Top Secret levels.

Laatsch further left a note to suggest that this was merely a “decent sample size” of the classified documents he was willing to share with the foreign government!

After receiving confirmation that the thumb drive had been received, Laatsch messaged the FBI agent posing as the foreign official and suggested AGAIN that he was willing to provide more classified info, but that he wanted something in return.

Laatsch specified that he was interested in “citizenship for [the foreign] country” because he did not “expect things here to improve in the long term.” Although he said he was “not opposed to other compensation,” he said that he was not in a position where he needed to seek “material compensation.”

THIS is why the Democrat holdovers in our government are such a problem.

FBI Director Kash Patel said that this case “underscores the persistent risk of insider threats” in our own government and he couldn’t be more on the nose with that.
