A man who was naturalized as a United States citizen in 2022 — while Joe Biden was running the show — allegedly went on a killing spree across metro Atlanta last week that left three people dead, including a 40-year-old DHS auditor named Lauren Bullis who was stabbed and shot to death.
The system Biden built literally got its own people killed. That’s not irony — that’s criminal negligence with a body count.
Olaolukitan Adon Abel, 26, was originally from the United Kingdom. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November 2020 and was stationed out in Coronado, California. Somewhere along the way, Biden’s DHS stamped “approved” on his citizenship paperwork. And what did America get in return for its generosity?
A guy who pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon in San Diego in October 2024. A guy who pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual battery in Chatham County, Georgia in April 2025. And then — allegedly — a guy who went on a three-victim murder rampage across Atlanta.
Nice vetting process, guys.
Here’s what happened. On a Monday afternoon, Abel allegedly shot a 31-year-old woman named Prianna Weathers multiple times outside a fast-food restaurant. She died at the hospital. One hour later — ONE HOUR — he allegedly shot a 49-year-old homeless man named Tony Mathews multiple times while Mathews was sleeping outside a grocery store. Mathews held on for days before dying on Sunday.
Then on Tuesday morning, Abel allegedly found Lauren Bullis — a DHS auditor, an LSU grad, a woman who had dedicated her career to public service — walking her dog in an Atlanta suburb. He stabbed her multiple times AND shot her. She didn’t make it.
Three people dead. Random victims. No apparent motive. Just a violent predator who had already been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and sexual battery — walking around free as a bird with his shiny new American citizenship.
Here’s the kicker. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin pointed out that Abel’s citizenship was “granted when Democrat Joe Biden was president.” And he’s right to point that out. Because we keep hearing about how the “vetting process” is thorough and the “system works” and anyone who questions it is a xenophobe.
Really? The system works? A guy gets citizenship, racks up a deadly weapon conviction and four sexual battery charges, and nobody thinks to maybe revisit that decision? Nobody at DHS flagged this guy?
Of course not. Because Biden’s DHS wasn’t in the business of flagging anybody. They were in the business of rubber-stamping as many applications as possible so they could brag about their “inclusive” immigration numbers.
Lauren Bullis’s own agency — the Department of Homeland Security — gave citizenship to the man who allegedly killed her. Read that sentence again. The department that was supposed to protect the homeland handed a passport to a man who would go on to murder one of its own employees while she walked her dog.
DHS released a statement saying Lauren “approached her work with integrity, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to excellence that strengthened our organization.” Beautiful words. But words don’t bring her back. And they sure don’t explain how her own agency let a violent criminal slip through the cracks.
Police finally caught Abel using license plate reader technology that linked his rental vehicle to the shooting locations. They charged him with malice murder, aggravated assault, and firearms offenses.
But here’s the final twist in this nightmare. On Tuesday night — just about a week after the killings — Abel was found unresponsive in his cell at the DeKalb County Jail. Lifesaving measures were attempted. They didn’t work. He’s dead.
Authorities say they found no evidence of foul play and an internal review is underway. So we’ll probably never get the full answers about what drove this guy to snap. We’ll never get a trial. The families of Prianna Weathers, Tony Mathews, and Lauren Bullis will never get to watch a jury deliver justice.
What we DO know is this: Biden’s immigration machine naturalized a man with violent tendencies, the system failed to revoke his status after multiple criminal convictions, and three innocent people — including a DHS employee — paid with their lives.
That’s the Biden legacy. Not “compassionate immigration reform.” Not “a pathway to citizenship.” A pathway to a body bag for one of their own employees.
