The Guy Who Made a Whole Movie About How Evil Dick Cheney Is Now Says White Liberals Are Worse

Hollywood director Adam McKay — the man who directed Vice, a two-hour cinematic tantrum about how Dick Cheney was the devil incarnate — has officially declared that white liberals are "the worst." Not Republicans. Not MAGA. Not the guy he spent an entire film demonizing. White liberals. The people who clapped the loudest at his premieres.

McKay appeared on the "Urgent Futures" podcast and didn't hold back. "It is incredible to watch people this far down the road still say you gotta stand behind the Democrat Party," McKay said. He then rattled off what he claims are 400 ways Democrats have wronged Americans. Four hundred. That's not a critique — that's an encyclopedia.

According to American Wire News, the director of Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers has been on a full-blown breakup tour with the Democratic Party. And like all good breakups, this one is getting louder and uglier by the day.

"We are being hit with the high-grade marketing, and no group is worse than white liberals," McKay said on the podcast. "I mean, they are the worst. I've tried to talk to them about climate, they are so smug." When the guy who produced Hustlers and The Menu says you're too smug, maybe take a beat and reflect.

McKay didn't stop at vibes. He went after the party's actual record. He slammed Democrats for keeping "healthcare private" and called out the Palisades Fire as an example of what happens when people like Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom are running the show. He called the fires "completely predictable" and "climate-fueled" — which, fine, but the incompetence? That part's bipartisan.

He even took a swing at Democrats over January 6th, saying, "The same party that wouldn't convict Trump of a crime after he told a crowd, 'Go to the Capitol.'" Now, we obviously see that differently than McKay does. But the point isn't that he's suddenly on our team. The point is that the left is hemorrhaging its own celebrities — and these aren't quiet defections. This is a guy with a pass to every Hollywood party, and now holds a megaphone screaming at his liberal elitist friends.

McKay announced he's leaving the party entirely. "It is time to abandon the Dem Party," he declared. "I'm registering Green Party or Working Families." So no, he's not putting on a MAGA hat. But he's doing something almost more useful — he's telling every white liberal in a Patagonia vest that their party is a fraud, and he's doing it from inside the house.

When a man who built his career making Will Ferrell comedies and anti-Republican Oscar bait says the Democratic Party isn't worth saving, that's not a policy disagreement. That's a cultural earthquake. And the aftershocks are going to keep coming.
