The USA is about to go through a type of pain that very few living people can remember: Massive shortages of basically everything. Most of the causes of this crisis can be traced back to a single source, who is watching ‘Matlock’ re-runs in an undisclosed location right now instead of dealing with the supply chain crunch and the energy crunch.

Unless someone takes immediate action, we’re going to be facing a pretty desperate winter in this country. The bad news is that “action” and “Joe Biden” are two terms that don’t go well together these days, unless a pre-pubescent child is unfortunate enough to wander within a hundred yards of the useless old perv. The good news is that America still has one governor who cares about his own state and the rest of the country.

“Heavy D” in Florida (Gov. Ron DeSantis) has offered a solution for all those destitute fully laden cargo ships that are languishing and rusting offshore in Democrat-run states: Float down to Florida and unload your cargo in a competent state! It’s an idea so crazy it just might work!

As of this writing, there are 153 cargo ships and oil tankers stuck in the water outside ports in California, 81 cargo ships and tankers stuck outside Newark, and 24 stuck at Long Island. Virginia has 10 ships stuck. In Puget Sound in Washington state, four of the largest types of container ships – each four football fields in length – have been anchored for two weeks now, because they can’t unload. In Oregon, there are 14 ships backed up and unable to load. And you don’t even have to guess what political party the governors in all those states belong to.

This is a disaster – and not just because of all the millions of Americans hoping to shop for Christmas gifts this winter. I’ve been griping for weeks about the lack of everyday items on store shelves where I live. Good grief, I couldn’t find MILK at my regular grocery store a couple of weeks ago. And since we’re now importing oil again after that slate of executive orders that Hurricane Brandon signed on his first day in office, what do you suppose is going to happen to energy prices in the coming weeks as those ships just tootle around not unloading?

Guess how many cargo ships are stuck in the water and waiting their turn to be unloaded at Florida’s 15 seaports? Go ahead, guess!

Ships are being unloaded and reloaded quickly, efficiently and on schedule at all 15 of Florida’s seaports – and they’re probably not even running at full capacity. Weird! That’s a joke. It’s not weird at all.

What is weird is all of the excuses that we’re hearing from the Biden regime and from the failed Democrat Governors in all those states where cargo ships can’t unload right now. We’ve heard nothing but excuses from them on this, and none of them make sense when you consider that Florida should be experiencing the same problems. The excuses Team Brandon is making include lack of truck drivers, lack of space on the rail lines, COVID, labor shortages, and on and on.

Why isn’t that happening in Florida, then? And in fairness, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi’s ports aren’t clogged up either. None of the excuses from Team Brandon are true, then. The only thing I can think of that makes sense is that this is yet another unholy pact that the Democrats have all made with the labor unions to do a work slowdown, to hurt Americans. An awful lot of us have been naughty this year, so the Democrats want to ruin Christmas for us. That will teach us for all those “Let’s Go Brandon!” chants at football games!

But Heavy D isn’t having it. America’s best governor has put out the word that Florida’s ports are open for business. And do you want to know what’s astonishing? The wait is now so long for those cargo ships stuck outside the Port of Los Angeles (several weeks, according to Governor Pelosi’s Nephew Newsom) that it will actually be faster for them to sail down through the Panama Canal and up to Florida to unload.

This is a Democrat-induced crisis-by-design. Thank goodness we have Governor DeSantis offering to save Christmas from these liars.
