Most people have realized by now that the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump on July 13, 2024, is actively being swept under the rug. The task force that House Speaker Mike Johnson assembled to investigate the shooting is a joke. The media is not investigating it at all, with a couple of exceptions from independent media outlets like ours.
Fortunately, some Trump supporters in the House of Representatives have decided they’re not going to let the whole thing be whitewashed. They’ve set up what’s already being called a “rogue” task force and will run a parallel investigation to the official task force.
None of the members that Speaker Johnson appointed to the official task force has any subject matter expertise on sniping and assassination. A couple of Republicans on the task force are okay. Rep. Clay Higgins (R-GA) is a former sheriff and Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) was in US Army Special Forces. The rest of them aren’t worth a damn. Most of us were extremely disappointed when Johnson announced the task force.
The first thing that the task force did was sent out a bunch of letters to some of Joe Biden’s team. They sent document preservation letters to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe.
In an odd coincidence, that looks exactly like my list of suspects in the Trump assassination attempt!
None of these four Biden fans has been complying with congressional subpoenas for documents over the past three and a half years. Let’s just say that we should be skeptical that any of them are going to turn over documents that implicate themselves in the shooting. The task force is just wasting time in this effort.
On Monday, August 26th, the official task force will travel to Butler, PA, meet with local officials and law enforcement about the shooting, and hold a press conference. It’s been six weeks since the shooting! The shooter’s body was cremated more than a month ago. All the stuff that the task force will be doing on Monday has already been done by other Members of Congress. This is a total waste of time, in other words.
Meanwhile, Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) and Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) will be leading the “rogue” task force’s parallel investigation. Mills is a former US Army Ranger who founded a private security company. Protecting high-value targets is an area of expertise for him. Crane is a former US Navy SEAL. Sniping high-value targets is an area of his expertise.
Both congressmen seem to have a couple of things that the official task force lacks. They have direct subject matter expertise and they seem to give a damn that a 20-year-old somehow managed to slip past one of the most advanced intelligence agencies in the world to shoot at the leading presidential candidate.
Mills and Crane are both dissatisfied that Speaker Johnson didn’t put them on the official task force. They’ll be running their parallel investigation as a result, and Mills says he’ll pay for the whole thing out of his own pocket if he has to. Since then, Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Chip Roy (R-TX), and Andy Biggs (R-AZ) have all joined the “rogue” task force.
Instead of wandering around in a field that other people have already gone over a million times, the “rogue” task force will be having a forum on Monday with other subject matter experts. The event will be held at the Heritage Foundation in DC. Former Secret Service special agent Dan Bongino, former Navy SEAL officer Erik Prince, and current Washington regional SWAT operator Ben Shaffer will be joining the forum.
While the “rogue” task force does not have subpoena power, they do have one major advantage over the official group. Whistleblowers will actually talk to them. There are six Democrats on the official task force. If a whistleblower comes forward, those Democrats will immediately rat them out to their superiors and might even get them killed by the Deep State. Whistleblowers can rest assured that the guys on the “rogue” task force aren’t going to get them murdered for identifying any of Thomas Crooks’s co-conspirators inside the Biden regime.
