With the LA riots still raging over deportations, Democrats are making one thing PAINFULLY clear: American workers come dead last.
Now, a coalition of Democrat-controlled labor unions are doubling down—defending illegal immigrants over the very people their organizations are supposed to represent.
At a recent pro-illegal rally on Capitol Hill, labor union AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler declared:
“In the labor movement, we were built on this word, and that word is ‘Solidarity.’ That’s why I’m here, bringing the voices of 15 million working people in the AFL-CIO standing strong together to … end these unjust ICE raids right now! Ahora!”
But what does “solidarity” really mean here? Because the only thing illegal labor has done is drive down wages, suppress opportunities, and make life harder for the very workers Shuler claims to represent.
Even the ultra-liberal New York Times reported back in April of this year that President Trump’s deportation plans could give a staggering 17% raise in wages to American workers. They just called it “inflation” instead of a “wage increase” for workers.
The New York Times is now warning that Trump’s plan to deport millions of Biden-era illegals is “inflationary” and dangerous because it will drive up the wages of native-born Americans.

By backing illegals over American workers, labor unions are effectively
endorsing a 17% wage suppression on their members…
So why are unions backing policies that hurt their members?
Maybe I’m wrong… but that seems a bit backwards.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), another prominent voice at the rally, gave a speech that sounded more like a globalist TED Talk than a message to struggling American workers. “Enough! These ICE raids are tearing apart families and sweeping up innocent people. Dividing us is how they win. When we’re united, they can’t stop us.”
She claims it’s in America’s “interest” to stand with people who entered the country illegally, yet offers nothing to the citizens watching their wages shrink and rents skyrocket.
The flood of low-wage illegal labor doesn’t just kill jobs—it drives up housing prices in working-class neighborhoods. American citizens are left to compete for space and services with people who shouldn’t be here in the first place.
Migrant surges are driving up rent and crushing home affordability—especially for blue-collar families.
Progressive policies have worsened the housing crisis, not just in California, where rent for a 4-bedroom home far from the beach is $5k a month. Allowing 10 million illegal entries has caused a housing shortage and rent increases nationwide. pic.twitter.com/bDi4cgJrw0

Meanwhile, in LA, chaos is boiling over as ICE raids trigger violent protests across the city.

Illegal labor is a windfall for big corporations:
✅ No payroll taxes
✅ Under-the-table wages
✅ No healthcare coverage
But for working-class Americans? It’s a nightmare.
The Trump administration is finally doing what the Democrats refused to do—removing illegals from the workforce and forcing businesses to hire American.

But union bosses? They’d rather kneel before the Democrat party and pontificate about immigration rather than fight for actual American jobs.
If these unions truly cared about the American worker, they’d be celebrating ICE raids—not protesting them. But they won’t do that because this has always been about money and lining their own pockets.
If these undocumented illegal workers are deported approximately how much money would the USWW and SEIU Unions in Los Angeles lose annually?
These Unions charge legal and illegal low wage workers up to $40 monthly to work. The more workers they have, the more millions they make. pic.twitter.com/fmNf3hMCMV

Labor leaders have sold American workers out—and they’re not even hiding it anymore.
