Sleepy Joe Releases Even More Oil from Strategic Reserves Weeks Before Midterms – Claims It’s “Not Political”

President Joe Biden has destroyed America’s energy independence, leaving us susceptible to sudden price hikes from the foreign producers he has chosen to rely on. But with midterms approaching, the Democrats don’t want voters to realize just how bad things really are so, they’ve been completely draining the United States Strategic Petroleum Reserves to create a deceitful illusion.

With the strategic reserves already at historic lows, the president has decided to release another 15 million barrels into circulation – weeks before the midterms.

The move will have a very short term effect of artificially stabilizing prices at the pump, and will essentially be a tiny band-aid for the massive problem Biden created.

Meanwhile, Biden seems to think Americans are dumb enough to believe that this decision is “not politically motivated at all.”

When reporters asked the Democrat leader if the decision was political, he responded, “Not it’s not, look, it makes sense, I’ve been doing this for how long now? It’s not politically motivated at all.”

Biden, who has now released more than 200 million barrels from the critical reserve, bizarrely attacked Republicans who have been critical of his efforts to deplete America’s emergency oil supply.

“Where have they been the last four months? The problem is these guys are asleep,” he continued, referring to Republicans. “I don’t know where they’ve been.”

Republicans have been focused on pushing Biden to remove the chains he placed on domestic production – a much more complete solution, considering the oil reserves will eventually run dry.

But Biden has no interest in doing that because it doesn’t help to advance his party’s dangerous “green energy” agenda, which they are willing to let Americans suffer for.

The president is also falsely claiming that he has done nothing to stop or slow oil production in the United States. “Let’s debunk some myths: My administration has not stopped or slowed U.S. oil production,” he said.

However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Biden has leased fewer acres for oil and gas in his first two years than any other administration at the same point since the end of World War II – roughly 77 years.

Biden also issued an executive order freezing oil and gas leases, in addition to suspending oil production leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, after former President Donald Trump opened up the major oil source for production.

Biden also ordered the halt of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, which would alone have moved 830,000 barrels of crude oil from Canada to the United States.

A former Keystone XL Pipeline welder actually exposed Biden for the fraud he is, saying his administration has “everything to do” with high gas prices.

“I don’t know how he gets away with keep saying that he doesn’t have anything to do with [high gas prices] when they’ve got everything to do with it,” Neal Crabtree said during an interview.

Crabtree was among hundreds of others laid off of the project after the president took office.
