Has Everyone Died from the Tariffs Yet? The 51st State Is About To.

Just two months ago, the leading Wall Street economists were in lockstep agreement. America will be in a recession by this summer because of President Donald Trump’s yucky tariffs, they told us. Food prices would blast through the roof and we’d all be poor and die. Well, here we are. It’s the week of July 4th. Wages are up and summer gas prices are the lowest they’ve been in years.

Most countries are not complaining too loudly about Trump’s reciprocal tariffs. They know they’ve been ripping the US off and picking at the corpse of the empire for years. 10 to 25% tariffs on most countries has not interrupted supply chains or trade in any significant way.

Other countries are having a rough time. Communism doesn’t work if you can’t steal money out of someone’s pocket, so China is about to have a very bad decade. Mexico is so corrupt and its political coffers are so flush with fentanyl cash from the cartels that they’re freaking out.

But Canada is having the worst time of all. The world is discovering that they’re not even a real country anymore.

A few months ago, before President Trump’s MAGA energy drove him from office and ended his political career, former Prime Minister and blackface aficionado Justin Trudeau announced that Canada cannot comply with a fair-trade agreement with the US. He wasn’t flexing. Trudeau meant exactly what he said.

Canada cannot comply with fair trade.

They did this to themselves. Despite being a cold and miserable country that has been cold and miserable ever since it existed, Canadians are fervent believers in the stupid, fake, non-existent, fairy-tale problem of anthropomorphic man-made global warming. They are a doomsday apocalyptic cult that believes we’re all going to die in a cloud of blue steam within the next few years.

Because of this stupid belief, the Canadian government has spent the last 20 years cuckolding their nation to China. They’re like the Thom Tillis of nations!

Canada used to be a major energy-producing country. But the belief that plant food (CO2) is a pollutant has driven them to destroy their economy. Energy is still one of their main exports to the US, but they’re producing a lot less. They think that nasty coal plants are icky, so they have completely re-ordered their economy.

You need coal and natural gas and oil to manufacture raw materials like steel. Canada decided it didn’t want to produce as much energy to “save the planet.” So, they rearranged their entire economy into an assembly economy. They now import raw materials like steel from… drumroll please… China.

That’s why Canada cannot engage in fair trade practices with the US. They’re China’s little b*tch.

They import steel from China, use it to assemble washing machines and cars, and ship them to the US consumer market for sale. China has been using Canada as a pass-through country to avoid US tariffs on raw materials. That’s Canada’s entire economy and they can’t just flip a switch and go back to the way things were.

Canada only has eight (8) operational coal plants that are still online, because they’ve been shutting them down to “save the planet.” Meanwhile, China is just laughing at them. China currently has about 3,200 coal plants in operation in 2025, and they expect to have 4,000 of them online by sometime in 2026.

The Canadians put on a leather gimp costume and danced for China because they thought it was easy money. As a result, they’re not a real country any longer. They can no longer function as a free nation if Trump won’t allow China to use them as a pass-through to try to avoid tariffs. Their economy would collapse completely.

Maybe they should become a US territory or the 51st state.

Meanwhile, the tariffs are not destroying life as we know it in America. In fact, Trump’s reciprocal tariffs have brought in $121 billion in the first fiscal quarter of this year. That’s revenue that won’t have to be extracted from the taxpayers next year, or the year after that, or the year after that. It also could be used to save programs like Social Security, Medicare, modernize schools, improve roads and bridges, and so much more.

America is about to have the best financial year that we’ve had since… well, since the last time Trump was in office. We’ve got a lot to celebrate this Fourth of July!
