Former FBI Director James Comey came within inches of getting away scot-free. There were fewer than 48 hours left on the statute of limitations when Acting US Attorney Lindsey Halligan secured a grand jury indictment against him. Comey’s lawyers are trying to invalidate the charges against him by having Halligan removed from her position. They also asked the judge to dismiss the charges. Unfortunately for Comey, the FBI left his personal Russia collusion notes sitting in a burn bag and forgot to incinerate them.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been dealing with the Russia collusion hoax as a nation for a decade. It’s been over 10 years since Donald J. Trump descended the golden escalator and captured the hearts of Americans everywhere. That’s how long ago James Comey and Hillary Clinton launched the Russia hoax, with the help of others.

Even after Comey was fired on Twitter back in 2017 (LOL!) and replaced by Christopher Wray, the FBI never tried to cover its tracks. Wray was in charge of the FBI from 2017 through 2025, so nobody bothered getting rid of the Russia collusion frameup evidence.

That all changed when Donald Trump won the 2024 election and announced that Kash Patel would be his new FBI Director. Patel wasn’t one of their people, so they panicked.

Someone at the FBI gathered the mountains of evidence and loaded them into four burn bags. James Comey’s personal notes on the Russia hoax, printouts of his emails, memos, and other scraps of paper were all loaded up for destruction. But something must have happened on the way to the incinerator.

Sometime between January 17, 2025, and January 22, 2025, those four burn bags ended up in a safe in Room 9582 at FBI Headquarters. Room 9582 is a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).

The burn bags were discovered in April of this year and brought to Director Patel’s attention. When he realized this was the Russia collusion “smoking gun,” he turned it over to the US Attorney’s office.

Comey’s lawyers tried to have the charges against him dismissed this month, claiming it was political persecution or some nonsense. In response to that filing, Halligan dropped James Comey’s personal Russiagate notes at the court.

And the notes… are hilarious! James Comey is so cooked that we can’t stop laughing about it!

The notes prove that he was leaking classified Russia hoax information to his attorneys and instructing them to leak the info to the press. Comey used a fake Gmail address and the moniker Reinhold Nieburh7 to direct the leaks to the media. He specifically instructed his attorney, Daniel Richman, to carry out many of these illegal leaks to smear Trump.

Comey’s notes prove that Richman was leaking to journalist Mike Schmidt at the New York Times, who is married to MSNBC’s Russia hoaxer Nicole Wallace.

In one email exchange from all the way back in 2016, before the election, Richman asked Comey whether he should write an op-ed for the New York Times to protect his character during the inevitable congressional investigations of the Russia hoax.

“No need,” replied Comey. “At this point it would be shouting into the wind. Some day they will figure it out. And as Jack and Ben point out, my decision will be one a president-elect Clinton will be very grateful for (although that wasn’t why I did it).”

Arrogant jackass James Comey didn’t believe there was any way that Donald Trump would win the 2016 election. He figured that if the truth eventually came out, it wouldn’t matter, because his longtime personal benefactor, Hillary Clinton, would be so grateful to him.

The evidence that Halligan released this week also includes handwritten notes on the FBI Director’s personal stationery. Comey kept notes about making up fraudulent claims about Trump owing financial debts to Russia, which Crooked Hillary’s campaign would help cook up. In one note, Comey reminds himself to have his team look into intrusions of state voter databases.

Comey’s lawyers want the charges dismissed on the grounds that he “knew nothing” about leaks to the press. Halligan just demolished those arguments. Comey’s legal team is now in jeopardy of lying to the court, because they have no idea what other contents the prosecutors have from those burn bags.

James Comey might ultimately end up in prison because of good old fashioned government incompetence. Some FBI schlub forgot to take the evidence to the incinerator, and now James Comey is the one getting burned.
