First Lady Jill Biden Makes Racially Charged Statement Comparing Hispanic Community to Tacos

First Lady Jill Biden is under fire after comparing the Hispanic community to “breakfast tacos” during a “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon” in San Antonio which was a desperate effort to pander to Texas Hispanics rapidly fleeing from the Democratic party – and clearly for good reason.

Biden made the comparison after talking up the diversity of the city’s Hispanic community, which she called “as beautiful as the blossoms in Miami” and “unique as the breakfast tacos” of San Antonio.

Biden’s remarks at the luncheon were part of the three-day UnidosUS annual conference which started Saturday.

Following the bizarre line, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) ripped into the first lady, accusing her of lacking cultural knowledge.

“NAHJ encourages Dr. Biden and her speech writing team to take the time in the future to better understand the complexities of our people and our communities,” said the group, with three active chapters in Texas.

“Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures & food traditions. Do not reduce us to stereotypes.”

“We are not tacos,” the group added.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), who is Hispanic, trolled Biden by changing his profile photo on Twitter to that of a taco.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)’s senior communications advisor Steve Guest tweeted, “Which White House speechwriter just won a bet for getting the First Lady to say something like this?”

In a pair of tweets, Janet Murguía, Republican candidate for Texas’s densely Hispanic 28th District, thanked Biden “for clarifying that Democrats think Hispanics are ‘unique’ like tacos.”

“Maybe if we rebrand the Southern Border as SouXern BorderX, Joe Biden will finally visit?” she wondered in another tweet.

Garcia’s tweet was in reference to the event’s woke name which includes the term LatinX – a term which polls have repeatedly shown the Hispanic community rejects.

ICR-Miami for Americano Media poll from March revealed just 1.7 percent of the U.S. Hispanic population uses “Latinx” while 60 percent describe themselves as “Hispanic and 30 percent use the term “Latino.”

During her speech, the First Lady also butchered the word “bodegas” calling them “bodigas.” Bodegas are popular corner stores found throughout New York City, particularly in the Bronx.

“Once again, Dr. Jill Biden butchers the Spanish language in furtherance of pandering to a client constituency (the org FKA National Council of La Raza),” tweeted Jorge Bonilla, director of the Media Resource Center.

This blunder brings up another infamous butchering of the language committed by the First Lady back in 2021 when she tried to speak Spanish to a handful of California farmers and botched a rallying cry, saying “Si, se pwodway!” while attempting to say “Si, see puede!” or “Yes, we can!”
