“I would not run if President Trump ran. And I would talk to him about it… I had a great working relationship with him. I appreciated the way he let me do my job. I thought we did some fantastically great foreign policy things together.” – Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
Well, it’s official. The 2024 Republican presidential primary just got fun. The dishonest and disloyal Nikki Haley (real name: Nimrata Randhawa) is prepping to announce her candidacy within the next two weeks.
This should be hilarious!
Nimrata was born in South Carolina to Indian parents but has gone by her middle name of ‘Nikki’ since birth, a common nickname from the area of India her parents immigrated from. Nimrata was loathed as governor of South Carolina back in the day, and she hasn’t done a whole lot to increase her popularity since then. She is, after all, the person who banned the Confederate flag when almost no one other than the New York Times was asking for it. The voters in South Carolina didn’t want their heritage and history being tossed away like that.
This just goes to prove that the founders were right to want to keep immigrants out of the highest office in the land. A person whose great-great-grandfather fought for the Confederacy because he believed in state’s rights has a very different view of his state flag than someone from India. The Confederate flag held no more meaning for Nikki Haley than the statue of Teddy Roosevelt did in New York City. What does she care if it all gets torn down? They’re not her people.
Nimrata also compared President Trump’s speeches to the psychotic shooter Dylann Roof – as if Trump’s very words were inspiring mass shootings. She also compared him to the KKK, because that’s always fair and accurate when you’re talking about a Republican president.
That quote from Nikki Haley that’s posted at the top of this article is from a press conference she gave just a couple of days after January 6, 2021. But as soon as the fickle and dishonest foreigner Nimrata sensed that the mainstream media was going to try to get Trump impeached for “insurrection,” here’s what she said in an interview with The Hill:
“We need to acknowledge he let us down. He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him.”
That’s quite a turnaround from saying she had a great working relationship with him, and vowing to not run in 2024 if Trump runs for reelection. Nimrata also told The Hill that she was “disgusted” by the January 6 kerfuffle at the Capitol, and that “his actions since Election Day will be judged harshly by history.”
This is a person who has never acknowledged that anything was even slightly amiss in the 2020 election, and who is completely unwilling to utter the word “stolen” in the same sentence as that election.
Aside from all that, she’s a great candidate, though. Just kidding! She’s a terrible candidate and a terrible politician and her neocon uniparty policies went out of fashion with Republican voters sometime around 2006. Nikki Haley is basically indistinguishable from Hillary Clinton when it comes to pushing for endless, pointless wars that have nothing to do with the United States of America. If you think Joe Biden is doing a terrible job with Ukraine, just imagine what Nikki Haley would do.
That’s why Trump gave her the US Ambassador job to the UN, instead of an important foreign policy job like Secretary of State (which she asked for).
Nikki Haley has no shot at winning the Republican nomination. She’s widely loathed by conservatives of all stripes except for the people at The Bulwark who are longing for the return of Jeb! Bush this election cycle.
So, that means that the only reason why she’s running is because some billionaire is backing her campaign. Her job will be to take pot-shots at President Trump on the campaign trail to try to weaken him. How’d that strategy work out for Bobby Jindal and George Pataki and Carly Fiorina and Lindsay Graham and Rick Perry and Scott Walker in 2016?
