Democrats Accusing Each Other of Cheating with Ballot Drop Boxes

We’ve been following the stolen Bridgeport, CT mayoral primary race that happened back in September with a certain amount of delight. If you haven’t heard about this story here’s a quick recap: A Democrat is claiming that the incumbent Democrat mayor stole the election with the help of zealous Democrat election workers stuffing the ballot drop boxes on his behalf. He has video evidence to back up his claims, and is demanding to either be declared the winner, or to hold a do-over election. You can read the entire story here.

There’s a new wrinkle to report. Now both sides—both Democrats—are accusing the other of stuffing the drop boxes, and they’ve both got video!

The bootlickers at the Associate Press have now swooped in to scold the two Democrats for “fueling election conspiracy theories.” Shhhh! Guys! The Republicans are watching!

The problem is that both men—incumbent Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim and challenger John Gomes—really want to be the mayor of Bridgeport. If you can’t steal an election fair and square, what’s the point?

When Gomes lost the election by just 251 votes, he uncovered surveillance video from the city clerk’s office. The video clearly shows a city clerk, who is a vocal supporter of incumbent Mayor Ganim, stuffing the ballot drop box outside the clerk’s office. She did it at 5:40 in the morning when no one else was around. The stacks of ballots that she stuffed in the drop box, in a clear violation of state law, were so thick that she had to break them up into smaller batches.

Gomes is suing to overturn the election based on this evidence. But now Mayor Ganim’s staff has uncovered videos of John Gomes’ supporters also stuffing drop boxes with ballots.

Stuffing the drop boxes seems to be a regular pastime of the Democrats these days. The Gomes supporters are shown on video making drops in multiple drop boxes, exactly like what happened in Dinesh D’Souza’s “2,000 Mules” film about the 2020 election.

Gomes has sheepishly admitted that, yes, those were his campaign staffers. But he says he spoke with them about it, and they all say they were just dropping off ballots for their relatives. O…kay.

Under Connecticut law, a voter is required to turn their own ballot in, or they can designate certain family members, police, local election officials or a caregiver to do it for them. The obvious question is, why were these Gomes campaign staffers driving to multiple drop boxes if they were turning in ballots for their family members? Why not just drop them all in the same drop box?

By the way, isn’t it fascinating that the mayor of the largest town in Connecticut can identify his opponent’s campaign staffers from grainy surveillance video in a matter of days, but the FBI can’t figure out who the January 6 pipe bomber is?

It’s pretty clear what happened here. A Democrat’s lust for power and natural instinct to cheat in elections, combined with the siren song of unattended drop boxes, is a temptation that is too great to overcome. Both sides cheated and stuffed the drop boxes. That’s because cheating is baked right into the cake when it comes to drop boxes. And now they’ve both been caught, which is why the Associated Press is in such a huff.

Drop boxes are supposed to be the safest and most secure ways to hold elections that have ever been invented. How could this happen?! (Hahahahah!)

Meanwhile, the judge will hold a hearing on the case this Thursday. Ganim is asking the judge to either toss the election out and declare him the winner, or to force the city to hold a do-over election. At the same time, Republicans in the Connecticut legislature are calling for drop boxes to be banned completely.

Or, as the Associated Press put it, Republicans are SEIZING on the incident to foment election conspiracy theories. They’re always seizing things, those Republicans! Never mind the fact that this a story about two Democrats committing election fraud.

This was all fun and games to these people when they did it to Donald Trump in 2020. It turns out that it’s not so fun for Democrats when it starts happening in their own races. I guess there’s no such thing as honor among thieves.
