The ideological gap between the Democrat Party and the rest of America is now so wide that it may be impossible to ever bridge. How do you bridge the gap between normal people who reasonably believe that all abortion is murder, and people who view abortion as some sort of weird sacred religious ceremony? You can’t.

Some have mused that only a real, existential threat of some kind would be able to bring Americans and Democrats back together again (although that would likely have some Democrat naysayers on board as well). Whether we’ll ever be able to come together again as a nation in the age of George Floyd and Critical Race Theory is tough to answer, but we may have finally found an issue that at least some DC politicians in both parties agree on: Maybe it’s not such a great idea to let Communist China buy up all of America’s available food-producing farmland.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, “businessmen” with ties to the Chinese military and the CCP in Beijing began quietly buying up farmland in the US in 2009. That was the first year of the Obama-Biden administration, for those who don’t remember that long ago. Barack Obama was beholden to the CCP because it had funneled hundreds of millions of dollars in illegal and untraceable campaign contributions to him through PayPal (a strategy that was repeated in the 2012 election).

There was a brief pause in the Chinese military gobbling up American farmland during the four years of the Trump administration.

China’s government was also taking advantage of a little-known immigration visa known as the EB-5. If any foreign “investor” spends a minimum of $500,000 on real estate in the US, they can get a green card and a fast track to American citizenship. I’m not a Chinese spy, but that sounds like a way easier assignment than having sex with Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) in the hopes of capturing some House Intelligence Committee pillow-talk.

Once a Chinese spy has American citizenship, they also have full Second Amendment rights, and can start stockpiling ammunition for the planned Chinese invasion of the US mainland sometime during the 2030s. It’s a win-win for China.

As mentioned, Donald Trump put the kibosh on this scam for a few short years. Trump signed an executive order that raised the purchase price of an EB-5 visa from $500,000 to $900,000, but a federal court just ruled in June that that is racist and illegal somehow. And now that the bought-and-paid-for “Beijing Biden” regime is in the White House, the Chinese government has begun purchasing farmland at a tenfold rate compared to the Obama years.

So far, Beijing has managed to buy up more than 192,000 acres of food-producing farmland in the US at a price tag of $1.9 billion. According to a report in Politico, that land is being used for timber (which is kind of expensive right now), farming and ranching by the CCP in Beijing.

That’s a drop in the bucket compared to what Canadian and European investors have spent on American farmland, but it still raises an important question: How stupid does a nation have to be to sell its productive farmland to a foreign adversary that wants to conquer them?

And talk about gaming the system! If a Chinese general shows up tomorrow and buys a farm in Iowa, he doesn’t just get an EB-5 green card and a fast track to US citizenship. He also gets taxpayer funded subsidies that make it easier for him to compete against heritage American farmers who have been in this country for centuries. The Chinese general is somehow an oppressed minority, according to the US government.

The good news is that members of both political parties in Washington, DC seem to be alarmed by this. People as ideologically different as Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) and Sen. Elizabeth Miracle Whip Wonder Bread Warren of the Milli Vanilli tribe (D-MA) are startled at the fact that Communist China is being allowed to seize control of America’s grocery supply and given taxpayer subsidies over American farmers. (Not surprisingly, Chinese Congresswoman Grace Meng (D-NY), who is more loyal to the CCP than to the American flag, says you are a racist if you oppose China buying up America’s food supply.)

Here’s a final question that is scary to ponder: Even if Republicans and Democrats manage to come together and pass a bill prohibiting our mortal enemies in Communist China from buying up our food supply – will Beijing Biden simply veto the bill?
