Walz’s Gun Control Push: The Ultimate Power Grab?

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, or as we like to call him, “Tampon Tim,” is back at it again, this time pushing for the kind of gun control that would make even the Brits blush and the Aussies say, “Crikey, mate, that sounds a bit much.” In the wake of a tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Walz took to the microphone not to promote safety or unity, but to dust off the tired old globalist playbook and suggest America should follow the lead of countries that turned personal freedom into a government-issued permission slip.

According to Walz, places like the U.K. and Australia are “just as free” as the United States. Oh really, Tim? You mean the same Australia that turned into a dystopian Hunger Games sequel during the pandemic? The same one with “freedom passes,” military on the streets, and quarantine camps that felt more like re-education centers than anything involving public health? If that’s freedom, then I’m the Queen of England. And spoiler alert: I’m not.

But this is the Democrat playbook in action. Step one: exploit a tragedy. Step two: compare America to countries with populations one-tenth our size and none of our constitutional backbone. Step three: pretend disarming law-abiding citizens will make criminals suddenly considerate. It’s the same logic that made them think defunding police departments would lower crime. Spoiler alert again: it didn’t.

And let’s not forget our pals across the pond. The U.K. banned most guns years ago and what happened? Knife crime exploded like a vegan at a Texas BBQ. They’ve got knife control campaigns now, complete with surrender bins that criminals promptly robbed. You heard that right. The criminals stole the knives from the knife surrender bins. You can’t make this stuff up, folks. The next step? Banning pointed kitchen utensils. At this rate, the U.K. will be eating steaks with spoons by 2030.

But here’s the real kicker. Democrats are finally dropping the act. No more hiding behind buzzwords like “assault weapons” or “common-sense reform.” Walz and his comrades are now openly floating bans that include handguns. That’s right, the very tool most Americans use to defend themselves in their homes. The mask is off. The charade is over. Their goal was never about safety. It’s always been about control.

And let’s not pretend Walz came up with this on his own. Democrat policy these days is shaped less by logic and more by whatever’s trending on TikTok. If enough blue-haired influencers say something dumb in unison, it magically becomes the party platform. And once one governor starts parroting it, you can bet the rest of the liberal peanut gallery will follow like lemmings on a cliffside field trip. Gavin Newsom probably already has a press conference scheduled with a backdrop of confiscated Nerf guns to show he means business.

The truth is, Americans aren’t buying it. We saw what happened during COVID. We watched as governments overseas stripped citizens of rights in the name of safety, then never gave those rights back. We saw people arrested for walking their dogs or visiting their grandma. We saw what happens when you trade liberty for security — you lose both.

And we’re not going down that road. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. We’re not handing over our Second Amendment rights because some coastal elites think Australia’s a utopia. We’re not letting governors like Tampon Tim dictate national policy because MSNBC told him to. And we’re sure as heck not giving up our guns just to join the international club of disarmed citizens under government babysitting.

So let the Democrats try to sell it. Let them try to convince America that freedom means needing a permit to defend your own home. Let’s see how that plays in middle America, in the suburbs, on the farms, and in the small towns where people actually understand what freedom means. Here’s a hint: it doesn’t mean asking permission.
