New J6 Footage: Capitol Police Officer Lied Under Oath about His Fake Injuries

Former Capitol Police officer Aquilino Gonell was tweeting about himself and how brave and courageous and tough he was on January 6th—again—the other day. Journalist Julie Kelly suddenly popped into Gonell’s feed with a choice two-word response: “Sociopathic liar.”

She had a good reason for doing it. Kelly is one of a handful of independent journalists who was allowed access to all the J6 footage after Fox News shut Tucker Carlson down.

Former officer Gonell has been one of the left’s darling heroes of January 6th for two-and-a-half years. This week, Julie Kelly finally exposed Gonell as the liar that he is.

Gonell has testified many times in court and in front of Congress about his very-brave fight to save our democracy from those dastardly insurrectionists on the day that was worse than Pearl Harbor and 9-11 and that Barbie movie all combined.

He got hurt badly that day, according to his accounts of his intense bravery and manhood. He’s been on CNN a bunch of times talking about his severe, life-changing injuries that he suffered when he paid the price for our democracy. What a hero!

Gonell cried during his testimony under oath to the Liz Cheney “Let’s Get Trump” Committee. The weepy and tearful hero described how he was “bleeding from both hands, [had] a maimed foot, hit on the head, sprayed with pepper and bear spray, beaten, punched, pushed, pulled, and assaulted by many other rioters as they try to gain entrance.”

The testimony from Gonell was so intense that it made former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-OH) break down and start blubbering. “You guys held the line!” wailed Kinzinger in a now-infamous clip.

Gonell has testified under oath that the injuries to his head, shoulder, feet and hands were so bad that he required surgery and medical leave from work, in addition to counseling for mental health trauma. He got sprayed with pepper AND bear spray, guys. Such a hero!

As a matter of fact, Aquilino Gonell is such a hero that he performed CPR on Roseanne Boyland, the poor Trump supporter who was beaten to death by police only to have the medical examiner claim she’d OD’d on her own prescription medications that day. Gonell tried valiantly to save Boyland’s life, despite the fact that she was an insurrectionist and he had suffered crippling injuries. Because that’s what heroes do. Gonell testified under oath to the Liz Cheney Committee that he personally performed CPR on Roseanne Boyland.

Aquilino Gonell has also been instrumental in making sure that January 6 protesters receive even lengthier prison sentences. Federal prosecutors have called him multiple times to deliver “victim impact” statements at protesters’ sentencing hearings. He gives the same tearful testimony every time, under oath, about the crippling injuries, the surgeries, the mental health trauma, and what a big hero he was that day.

Judges have slapped extra years onto the sentences of January 6ers because of Gonell’s testimony about how they assaulted him.

“This is how I’m going to die,” is one of the statements that Gonell made in sworn testimony to the Liz Cheney Committee. It was that close.

Unfortunately for Gonell, Julie Kelly found an incredible video of him that day. The video proves that every claim Gonell has ever made to the media, under oath to Congress, and under oath to federal courts to give longer sentences to January 6ers—was a lie. There’s not a single word of truth to what Gonell says.

Reporters are now asking for records of Gonell’s alleged surgeries for his “maimed foot” or any other injuries he suffered that day. Unsurprisingly, Gonell is not being quick about sharing any evidence that would prove he’s been truthful.

In the video that Kelly released to the Epoch Times, Gonell can be seen wandering around inside the Capitol for 7 and a half minutes. His shoulder looks fine as he’s taking off his riot gear, including the helmet that obviously protected him from any head injuries. His hands are fine. He’s not bleeding. He’s kicking things around on the floor in the Capitol, so his “maimed” foot looks fine too.

As officers nearby are performing CPR on Roseanne Boyland, Gonell does nothing to help her. He never performed CPR on her. Aquilino Gonell lied about everything that happened to him on January 6th. And now we know it for certain:
