Fox News Host Chris Wallace Blasted for Leaving to CNN

Former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace announced his departure from Fox News to CNN’s new streaming service on Sunday, leading to strong responses from Americans.

But first, you have to read Wallace’s own announcement about the departure:

“I am thrilled to join CNN+. After decades in broadcast and cable news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming,” Wallace said in a statement. “I look forward to the new freedom and flexibility streaming affords in interviewing major figures across the news landscape—and finding new ways to tell stories. As I embark on this adventure, I am honored and delighted to join Jeff Zucker and his great team. I can’t wait to get started.”

How this esteemed journalist can say he’s “thrilled” to join CNN is beyond belief. How can he be “honored and delighted” to join Zucker?

Isn’t this the network that just fired Chris Cuomo over his involvement to help his brother escape a sexual harassment scandal? Isn’t this the same network where Don Lemon was discovered texting Jussie Smollett in the middle of an investigation over his hoax hate crime? These actions are not only the opposite of conservative; they in some cases illegal!
The most comical comments came from those attacking CNN’s attempt to start a paid streaming network. Todd Starnes wrote, “Wait. CNN really thinks people are going to pay to watch Don Lemon, Brian Stelter and Chris Wallace?”

Conservative author Ann Coulter blasted the new initiative with the words, “I’m guessing Chris Wallace is going to ‘CNN Plus’ because ‘CNN Minus’ would be redundant.”

CNN long ago departed from actual journalism to full-blown leftist propaganda machine. Past investigations have shown the network targeted former President Donald Trump while lifting up his opponents like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.  It’s list of network stars connected with Democrat leaders is long and well-established.

For Wallace to join CNN and say he’s excited to join the existing crowd is a complete departure from journalistic integrity. For many, this is not surprising. A look back at his hosting of the 2020 presidential debate between Trump and Biden expressed clear bias against the former president.

Wallace has now gone full circle. He once worked at ABC News, as well as NBC News. Now he’ll bounce back to the liberal media for another run. Meanwhile, Fox News is likely to fill the spot with a host whose ratings will crush anything CNN or CNN+ can compete with. Fox shows regularly beat all other cable news shows by WIDE margins.

The former Fox News host will join former NBC news analyst Kasie Hunt on the new streaming service. Scheduled to release in 2022, CNN+ promises, “From Lisa Ling to the West Wing, A.C. to D.C., see where the stories of our world will go to next on @CNNPlus in 2022.”

But most people aren’t too excited about it. CNN’s plummeting viewership in 2021 has revealed its agenda is doing more to drive people away than to attract viewers looking for real news.
