Democrats Get Slap On the Wrist For “Biggest Campaign Finance Violation EVER”

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) has been caught in an election scheme which forced her to pay the biggest fine EVER in the state – and the left-wing media have swept it under the rug.

Abrams, is a darling of the progressive left… even though she can’t seem to win an election.

She ran for Governor of Georgia in both 2018 and 2022, losing both elections and claiming the reason she lost was Republican voter fraud.

And it turns out there were some election laws broken, but SHE was the one breaking them.

In 2013 Abrams founded a nonprofit called the New Georgia Project which was once run by Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA). In the 2018 election she funneled money from this nonprofit and another affiliate into her campaign to try and give herself a much needed boost.

It wasn’t a few bucks either… The two nonprofits donated a total of $7.4 million to Abrams and other statewide Democrats while failing to disclose it, breaking Georgia law in the process.

This money was spent on things like “canvassing activities, literature expressly advocating for the election of candidates, social media engagement, and operating field offices with paid staff where those electioneering activities were organized” – and it was all illegal.

As a result of this campaign finance law violation, the Georgia Ethics Commission voted unanimously to impose a fine of $300,000 for at least 16 instances of illegal election work.

This certainly represents the largest fine in the history of Georgia’s Ethics Commission, but also appears to be the largest Ethics Fine ever imposed by any State Ethics Commission in the country related to an election and campaign finance case,” the commission wrote in a statement.

Aria Branch, an attorney for the groups, said her clients were “glad to finally put this matter behind us.

And of course they’re “glad to put this behind them” because a measly little $300,000 fine is a small price to pay for the Democrats to have a chance to take control of a state that has historically been dominated by Republicans.

Consider the absolute hysteria that there would have been if it was President Donald Trump or another MAGA firebrand who was caught up in a scandal like this?

They hit Trump with 30+ felonies and branded him as a convicted felon because his attorney paid someone $140,000. Abrams and her fellow Georgia Democrats got spent $7.4 million to try and rig the outcome of elections… and got a slap on the wrist.

Clearly, the rules are not the same for the two parties. Democrats are allowed to break laws with absolute impunity while Republicans are run through the mud for absolutely nothing.
