This Familiar Name Looks to Cover for the Biden Family… AGAIN

Attorney General Merrick Garland is doing EVERYTHING in his power to keep the Biden family out of trouble – even if it exposes how corrupt he and the DOJ have become.

Case in point, the recent hire by the Attorney General of Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss as special counsel in the Hunter Biden criminal investigation. If that name sounds familiar to you it’s because he was the prosecutor that let Hunter off the hook with a sweetheart plea deal before it fell apart in court.

Anyone with a brain can see how Weiss should not have been appointed as special counsel in this case. He’s clearly biased—we’ve seen how he let Hunter off the hook already.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz slammed Garland for appointing Weiss, condemning the appointment as “disgraceful” and “a cover-up.”

“The result of all of that is that David Weiss either was an active participant in covering up this criminality and protecting Joe Biden in engaging in obstruction of justice. That is Option One,” Cruz said. “Or Option Two: he wasn’t the driver, he was just complicit. He was so weak that he could not stop the partisans and main justice from turning it into a political effort to protect Joe Biden.”

“Either case, he is a wildly inappropriate person to be a special counsel,” Cruz continued. “We should have a special counsel. We should have a special counsel to investigate Merrick Garland for whether he lied under oath the Congress into questioning from me and whether he committed obstruction of justice.”

Others have been calling for Weiss to recuse himself immediately.

Breitbart News politics editor Emma-Jo Morris said, “…I think that it’s probably fair to say that David Weiss should recuse himself. I mean, after what we have seen with the investigation that he’s been doing over the past few years, what he’s come up with from that, and then his credibility just being destroyed in the eyes of the American people by these whistleblowers, I think that that would probably be appropriate.”

The Biden DOJ has been seeking to cover for the Biden family every step of the way, but this new appointment of Weiss has raised concern that this Biden friendly U.S. attorney could prevent House Republicans from uncovering more evidence of the family’s crimes.

George Washington Law professor Johnathan Turley said, “The initial concern is whether Weiss is damaged goods. You usually appoint special counsel who will satisfy all sides, that is someone who doesn’t bring baggage to the question and can resolve issues. These whistleblowers were critical of Weiss. Weiss suggested that he always had this authority. The whistleblowers said he said the opposite to staff, suggested he allowed statute of limitations to run, that is not the suggestion of the Department of Justice.”

He added, “The reappointment of Weiss will raise questions. As for the congressional investigation, there no question that making him special counsel will now make it more difficult for Congress to get answers from him and from the investigation.”
