Judge Puts Trump Under Gag Order – As If We Didn’t Already Know This is Political

Even Low-Energy Jeb! has somehow found enough energy to rouse himself and speak out against the indictment of President Donald J. Trump. (Not that we’re praising him for this. He should have spoken up sooner. Bad Jeb!)

There is now word that the Manhattan judge hearing the case plans to impose a gag order on Trump, despite the fact that he’s the leading presidential candidate for 2024 by a lot. It also appears that Trump will be appearing in Manhattan for an arraignment on Tuesday, and will issue a statement from Mar a Lago on Tuesday evening.

This is like a dream come true for the little girls on MSNBC like Joe Scarborough. The leading presidential candidate won’t be able to speak out against judicial corruption and our two-tiered system of justice during a campaign? They’re positively giddy at the idea.

With a gag order in place, the judge will be able to throw President Trump in jail for 30 days every time he violates it. Obviously, this allows the corrupt Democrat-Party-Media to talk about the case ad nauseum for the next couple of years as much as they want, and the fat Soros prosecutor Alvin Bragg’s team can leak selective information about the case as much as they want without consequences.

If you doubt this, look at that crazy rhymes-with-witch jury foreperson out of Georgia a couple of months ago. She did an entire media tour talking about how they’re hoping to indict Trump and yadda-yadda-yadda. She’d be in a jail cell right now if we had an honest justice system.

Trump’s legal team is exuding confidence right now, claiming they’ll be able to beat the gag order and the supposed 34 charges that were all conveniently leaked to the New York Times by Bragg’s office (which is a more serious felony than anything Trump is charged with). I’m not feeling so confident as that. Mainly because the jury pool in Manhattan is going to be about as far-left as you can imagine.

Ric Grenell actually made a great suggestion over the weekend about what the other Republicans running for president could do to make a difference. It’s a better idea than standing around bleating, “This is political!” Everyone knows it’s political.

Grenell’s suggestion is that Nikki Haley should announce that she’s dropping out of the 2024 race because Donald Trump has her full endorsement, and she wants all 14 of her supporters to vote for President Trump to be the presidential nominee. Vivek Ramaswamy should do the same. Speculative candidates who may or may not run should all endorse him this week. The party should unify behind Donald Trump right now and send a message to the Democrats that they don’t get to wreck the American system of justice to go after one man.

You think you can stop him by jailing him? No. We’re not going to allow that to happen. You don’t get to pick our candidate for us by meddling in the election like this. This plan from Grenell would ensure that the liberals know they’re stuck with Trump no matter what, and put this kangaroo court situation to rest much faster. If every candidate says, “I’m not running until this ridiculous case is thrown out, so we can have a fair fight,” it would probably get the case thrown out even quicker.

But that’s not what the other candidates are doing, because they’re on the same team as the Democrat Party. They’d rather burn the entire country down than allow Donald Trump to get near the White House ever again.

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced to ABC News over the weekend that he’s going to run against Trump. Giving off his usual creepy don’t-let-me-babysit-your-kids-or-else vibes, Hutchinson declared that he’ll be a much more moral candidate than that icky old Trump who is preferred by most conservative voters when push comes to shove.

Trump’s lead only continues to widen over his primary opponents and would-be opponents because of this indictment. The other candidates are all young enough to run again in future elections if they want to (well, maybe not Asa Hutchinson). They might as well make their 2024 demise mean something by dropping out now and endorsing Trump.
