Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot has FINALLY been ousted and instead of owning the fact that her god awful policies are to blame, she’s trying to blame “racism” and “sexism.”

After years of destroying the windy city with her miserable leftist nonsense, Lightfoot won just 17% of the vote in a recent election, with former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas coming in first with 33.95% and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson in second with 20.32%.

While speaking to reporters about the humiliating defeat, Lightfoot claimed that she had received “unfair treatment,” because she is a “black woman in America.”

Lightfoot is the first Chicago mayor in 40 years to lose a re-election and she wants you to believe that has nothing to do with the fact that crime has skyrocketed under her watch, businesses are leaving her city in droves (and taking jobs with them), the home market has tanked because no one is moving to the city anymore, and George Soros backed prosecutors are letting criminals off the hook as fast as police can arrest them.

During her tenure, Chicago crime has been climbing every year. In the last year it’s up 52% and more than 100% since 2021 – but sure keep selling the lie that this loss was due to “racism!”

Lightfoot has faced criticism in the past for being soft-on-crime and she responded in a similar manner, arguing that the only reason anybody would dare point out how bad of a job she’s done must be a sexist racist!

During an interview with the New Yorker in February she said, “I am a Black woman—let’s not forget. Certain folks, frankly, don’t support us in leadership roles.”

Lightfoot CLEARLY has a problem accepting responsibility and she’s trying to further divide Americans by pushing this garbage.

Vallas, one of the two men who defeated her, ran as a “law and order” candidate promising to clean up the streets of Chicago which had become unbearable under Lightfoot.

“Public safety is the fundamental right of every American. It is a civil right, and it is the principle responsibility of government. We will have a safe Chicago. We will make Chicago the safest city in America,” he said during a speech.

“It will not only come from providing the police with the resources and the support that they need, but from building the bond between the police department and the community so we have true community policing. … I will also … have zero tolerance when it comes to violating the law or violating the Constitution. And this is coming from a family of four police officers, including my wife.”

That’s quite the contrast from Lori and Republicans pointed out that was the REAL reason she was defeated.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted, “Lori Lightfoot. Crime doesn’t pay.”

Former Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones joined in saying, “Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot, just got the FOOT! Other Democrat mayors with run-away crime in your cities, take note. Even liberals are tired of being unsafe.”

And Jones is 100% right in that assessment. Lightfoot had been propped up by liberals as their next darling politician, and during her time as Mayor she had basically become untouchable – but this MAJOR defeat proves voters are FED UP with the left’s destructive policies.

Could this be a sign that more cities in America might start DUMPING these leftists whack jobs that are intentionally ruining the country?
