ANOTHER BETRAYAL?! Did Trump’s Pick to Lead the FBI Have Us All Fooled?

Prior to being selected by President Donald Trump as the new head of the FBI, Kash Patel was a MAGA faithful who once vowed to shut down the FBI headquarters “on Day 1” and turn it into a “museum for the deep state” if he ever got a chance to run the agency… so why is he looking to INCREASE their budget now?

Despite a clear effort by President Trump and his administration to shrink the size of our incredibly bloated government, FBI Director Kash Patel has decided to take the FBI in a different direction.

Recently, the White House 2026 budget proposal was released and it calls for a funding cut of more than $500 million for the still very crooked FBI.

Trump’s White House said this was fueled by a desire to “reform and streamline” the bureau, in part by reducing “non-law enforcement missions that do not align” with the priorities of President Donald Trump.

To most people, this makes sense. Trim the fat on an American agency that has become increasingly rogue over the years and has become more obsessed with fighting MAGA than it has with fighting crime

But Patel argued that such a cut would be “harmful” to the FBI.

We need more than what has been proposed” Kash said to lawmakers during a budget hearing. When asked to specify which positions he has considered eliminating in order to work with this new budget proposal, Patel said he hasn’t even begun to consider that possibility – signaling he has ZERO intentions of making cuts to the rogue FBI.

At this time, we have not looked at who to cut. We are focusing our energies on how not to have them cut by coming in here and highlighting to you that we can’t do the mission on those 2011 budget levels,” Patel complained.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) said to Patel “This is your budget. You have to have some idea of what you want to fund or not fund, or where you can cut or not cut, and provide that information” to the Office of Management and Budget.

Patel then further cemented that his stance has shifted and his is now in favor of INCREASING funding for the agency…

That’s the proposed budget — not by the FBI,” Patel replied. “The proposed budget that I put forward is to cover us for $11.1 billion, which would not have us cut any positions.”

This is a very interesting sudden change from Patel who, prior to becoming director of the FBI, said that the best course of action would be to “decrease government creep with personnel” which meant that he supported CUTTING UNNECESSARY JOBS!

The FBI’s footprint has gotten so freaking big… what do you need 7,000 people {in the HQ] for? Same thing with DOJ, What are all these people doing here?” Patel said during a podcast appearance.

So what has changed? Has the deep state which he swore to defeat managed to corrupt him in some way? Or is this just another example of a Trump official choosing to betray the MAGA movement for his own personal benefit…

Only time will tell.
