Acting FEMA Administrator Cameron Hamilton has been FIRED after publicly opposing President Donald Trump’s plans to dismantle the failure of an agency.
FEMA – the Federal Emergency Management Agency – is notoriously flawed and the President has been vocal about his wishes to put the states in charge of their own emergency response.
When a slew of devastating hurricanes tore across the southeast in places like North Carolina and Florida last year, FEMA sat on its hands as Americans were left with NOTHING. In some cases, they actively interfered with volunteer efforts to help these people for reasons which nobody could understand.
They have also been heavily politicized and private communications were leaked which saw FEMA leaders telling their people on the ground to “ignore” homes with pro-Trump or MAGA signage… meaning these people were denied aid because of their political beliefs.
Needless to say – the agency has got to go.
For some reason, Hamilton, despite being a proud Trump supporter and former Navy Seal didn’t seem to agree with that.
Hamilton’s was fired just one day after he testified before the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Homeland Security and said he did not support eliminating FEMA.
“As the senior advisor to the president on disasters and emergency management, and to the Secretary of Homeland Security, I do not believe it is in the best interest the American people to eliminate the Federal Emergency Management Agency,” he said earlier this week.
“Having said that, I am not in a position to make decisions and impact outcomes on whether or not a determination as consequential as that should be made. That is a conversation that should be had between the President of the United States and this governing body.”

Recently, President Donald Trump formed a government council earlier this year to determine how useful FEMA really is and consider shuttering it completely.
“I am proud to announce the formation of the FEMA Review Council, comprised of Top Experts in their fields, who are Highly Respected by their peers,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I know that the new Members will work hard to fix a terribly broken System, and return power to State Emergency Managers, who will help, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!”
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Tuesday that Trump believed that FEMA had largely failed the American people.
“President Trump has been very clear since the beginning that he believes that FEMA and its response, in many, many circumstances, has failed the American people and that FEMA, as it exists today, should be eliminated and empowering states to respond to disasters with federal government support,” she said.
Trumps is not looking to eliminate federal funding for disaster management – only the bloated agency of FEMA that seems to cause more harm than it does good.
But the important thing here is that the firing of Hamilton could serve as a wake-up-call to some of the other agency heads that Trump put in power… but are not exactly performing the. way he might have expected them to.
A key example of this would be FBI Director Kash Patel who built up a reputation as a MAGA firebrand who wanted to completely overhaul the FBI… only to get into the director spot and demand a BIGGER budget for the crooked agency.
Kash just testified to the House that he is requesting a budget increase for the FBI rather than the half billion cut proposed by Trump's OMB.pic.twitter.com/8H8JNmMq2w
