JD Vance Uncovers Trump Impeachment Trigger in Ukraine Funding Bill

Miami, FL, USA - June 13, 2023: Crowds news people Wilkie D Ferguson Jr US Courthouse Donald Trump arrive Miami indictment hearing

The US Senate pulled a rare all-nighter from Monday through early Tuesday to pass a $95 billion aid package for Ukraine and Israel’s wars. (Nothing for our own border, naturally.) 22 Republicans voted with nearly every Democrat to pass the package by a vote of 70-29.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and others led a valiant effort to stop it. It really is a criminal act to send money to any foreign country while our own nation is being invaded. Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) uncovered a truly sinister thing in the bill, however, which Mitch McConnell had set up as a parting “gift” to incoming President Donald Trump next year.

Here’s the impeachment trigger that JD Vance discovered in the bill.

It provides $1.6 billion to fund the State Department’s Foreign Military Financing program in Ukraine. It also provides $13.7 billion for the Department of Defense’s Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. Both of these programs are funded through September of 2025.

Why is this significant?

Back in 2019, Congress appropriated $250 million for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative and $141 million for the Foreign Military Financing program.

Page 425 of Impeachment Hoax 1.0 stated at the time:

“The President froze military assistance to Ukraine against US national security interests and over the objections of career experts.”

(Because heaven forbid that a Commander in Chief should overrule the career experts in DC.)

The impeachment inquiry further stated:

“The President did so despite the longstanding bipartisan support of Congress, uniform support across federal departments and agencies for the provision to Ukraine of the military assistance, and his obligations under the Impoundment Control Act.”

The two accounts that this new bill funds through September of 2025 are the same ones that Trump was impeached for temporarily pausing in 2019. President Trump has said repeatedly that he can end this stupid and pointless war in 24 hours, and everyone knows that he means it. This provision that JD Vance discovered in the bill is actually an impeachment trigger.

If President Trump shuts off the war funding spigot when he gets back into office, Congress will have grounds to impeach him AGAIN for trying to promote world peace.

For President Trump to get both sides to the bargaining table, he would have to shut off the funding that the Biden regime has been pouring into Ukraine. Why would President Putin of Russia negotiate to end the war if the American taxpayers are still financing it (against our will)?

As Sen. Vance notes, if President Trump were to pause the Ukraine funding, “‘Over the objections of career experts,’ it would amount to the same fake violation of budget law from the first impeachment, under markedly similar facts and circumstances.”

Before 22 Republican Senators stabbed President Trump in the back by voting for this bill, the Washington Post bragged that it is a policy goal of Joe Biden and Mitch McConnell to tie Trump’s hands when it comes to foreign policy. The Post reported:

“Not incidentally, a U.S. official said, the hope is that the long-term promise—again assuming congressional buy-in—will also ‘future-proof’ aid for Ukraine against the possibility former President Trump wins his reelection bid.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) responded to Vance’s discovery of this impeachment trigger by announcing that the bill is “dead on arrival” in the House. That may have been optimistic on her part, however. House Speaker Mike Johnson says that it will take weeks or even months before the House might be ready to vote on the aid package.

He’s facing pressure from a divided conference, though. There are a lot of bloodthirsty neocons among the House Republicans who want to keep this war going. The fact that Schumer and McConnell also tied it to aid for Israel is also a problem since many House Republicans switch their brains off when they see Israel’s name attached to anything.

JD Vance made national headlines by exposing this impeachment trigger in the bill. How any Republican could support it, knowing that it prohibits the incoming Republican president from enacting his foreign policy vision, is baffling. Ukraine doesn’t deserve another dime in American taxpayer money, frankly. They’ve lost the war and have no hope of turning it around. Continuing the war only makes America weaker and poorer, though, and that seems to be the goal of President Trump’s enemies.
