Trump Kicked Ursula von der Leyen Out of the Ukraine Peace Talks

He managed to put a jacket on for this week’s visit to the White House, but Ukrainian dictator Vladimir Zelensky still managed to look like a slob. At least he didn’t get himself kicked out of the White House this time. The same can’t be said for President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. You may have noticed she wasn’t in any of the photos taken inside the Oval Office, when Trump was meeting with the other European leaders for peace talks. She wasn’t there because President Trump kicked her out.

Even though they are weak and pathetic, the European nations are going to have to be part of the peace process in Ukraine. Boris Johnson and Joe Biden may have started the Ukraine-Russia war, but it’s really Europe’s problem—not ours. Ukraine is in their neighborhood, so they’re going to have to deal with the cleanup.

That’s why Emmanuel Macron and the rest of the nerds tagged along for the summit with President Trump and Zelensky at the White House this week.  According to Bundestag Vice President Omid Nouripour, the president made von der Leyen leave the room when it came time for the serious talks to begin.

“In the middle of yesterday’s meeting … Ms. von der Leyen had to leave because the Americans said: ‘We only want to talk to leaders.’”

Hahahahahahahaha!

President Trump has a great point. Von der Leyen is not an elected head of state. So, why was she even there?

“Ms. von der Leyen represents over 400 million people,” whined Nouripour. “Yesterday, she was also the voice of the states that were not present, which are highly relevant to the dispute with Ukraine, such as Poland, the Baltic states and the Czech Republic.”

It’s more than a stretch to say that von der Leyen represents 400 million Europeans. That’s like saying a cranky IRS auditor represents “all taxpayers.”

To get a sense of just how terrible Ursula von der Leyen is, consider what an equivalent to her would be like in America. Who was the worst “president” in American history? It was Joe Biden, obviously. Imagine that an “American Union Commission” was set up as an unelected body that suddenly governs all trade and commerce between the 50 US states.

Then, imagine they put Joe Biden’s former chief of staff, Ron Klain, in charge of it. Every state would have to do what Ron Klain says. Would an unelected Ron Klain “represent” you, your family, or your business?

Of course not. And that’s what Ursula von der Leyen is to the European nations. She was a low-level state politician in Germany, who hadn’t won an election for anything since 2003. She then became a staffer for one of the worst politicians in modern Europe, Germany’s Angela Merkel. And now she gets to boss all the formerly independent European nations around when it comes to trade, commerce, and mass immigration.

So, President Trump was right to kick her out of the meetings. Bringing about peace in Ukraine is serious business—especially since we now finally have the first accurate casualty counts of the war.

A hacker group breached the Ukrainian military’s General Staff database and downloaded the actual list of casualties. The list has been confirmed as accurate and real. The “official” narrative is that Ukraine has only lost around 400,000 troops, despite most of the eastern half of the country being methodically overrun by Russian troops.

Ukraine has lost a confirmed 1,739,900 soldiers who were either killed or are currently missing in action. That includes 621,000 who have been killed just this year. Since the start of the war, Ukraine has lost four times as many soldiers as the USA lost in World War II.

Meanwhile, Russia has lost 165,000 soldiers. That’s a 10-to-1 kill ratio, and the most astonishing military victory in human history. We were one of the only outlets that accurately predicted Russia would win a resounding victory in Ukraine. But we had no idea it was going to be that lopsided.

Nearly 2 million Ukrainians are dead. And for what? So politicians in the EU and the US could launder money through NGOs? Was it worth it?

It’s time for this war to be brought to an end. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said it best this week. Donald Trump is the only leader who can bring about a peaceful resolution to this war.

Even without the help of Ursula von der Leyen!
