The Media Won’t Tell You This—But America Is Quietly Getting Healthier Again

If you rely on corporate media for your worldview, you’d think America is spiraling toward extinction—one panic chyron at a time. Everything is collapsing. Nothing works. Everyone is dying. And somehow, it’s always conservatives’ fault.

Except the actual data tells a very different story.

Beneath the doom-scroll hysteria, five major categories of preventable death are falling sharply. Not plateauing. Not “mixed signals.” Falling. And it’s happening just as the country moves away from the Biden-era pandemic mindset and back toward reality, normalcy, and—yes—Trump-style sanity.

Here’s what the numbers actually show.

1. America’s Overall Death Rate Is the Lowest Since 2020

According to the CDC’s latest provisional data, the U.S. mortality rate in 2024 dropped 3.8% from 2023, reaching its lowest level since 2020. Even more telling: COVID is no longer a top-10 cause of death for the first time since it appeared.

That’s a quiet admission that years of fearmongering, mandates, and mask theatrics were wildly overblown. The virus didn’t “win.” Reality did. But don’t expect cable news to run a victory lap—panic doesn’t monetize well when people stop being afraid.

2. Heart Attack Deaths Have Collapsed Over Time

A major Stanford Medicine study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association shows that since 1970, heart attack deaths have fallen nearly 90%, with overall heart disease deaths down about 66%.

Despite rising obesity and diabetes—problems worsened by lockdown lifestyles—medicine, early intervention, and actual science have saved millions of lives. That’s real progress. Not hashtags. Not press conferences.

3. Drug Overdose Deaths Are Finally Declining

After exploding during the COVID lockdown years, drug overdose deaths dropped nearly 24% in the 12 months ending September 2024, according to the CDC.

We’re not fully back to pre-2020 levels—but we’re close. And that matters. Ending lockdown chaos, restoring enforcement, and pulling back from the “everything is trauma” approach is making a measurable difference.

Funny how accountability works.

4. Mass Killings Are at an 18-Year Low

According to data from the AP and USA Today Mass Killing Database, the U.S. has recorded just 17 mass killings this year—the lowest total since tracking began in 2006.

One is too many. But facts matter. The spike came during COVID and Biden-era dysfunction. The decline follows a return to normal life, policing, and public order—things Democrats spent years undermining.

5. Teen Suicide Is Declining

Federal data from SAMHSA and the CDC shows encouraging drops in teen suicidal thoughts and attempts since pandemic-era highs.

Between 2021 and 2024, serious suicidal thoughts among teens fell from 13% to 10%, and suicide attempts dropped from 3.6% to 2.7%. Still unacceptable—but clearly improving as schools reopened, isolation ended, and kids reentered the real world.

The Bottom Line

America isn’t perfect. But it’s not collapsing either.

When you stop governing by panic, stop locking people down, stop telling kids the world is ending, and start restoring normal life, people live longer. That’s not ideology. That’s math.

The media doesn’t want you to notice progress—because progress breaks their narrative. But the data doesn’t lie.

Sometimes, things are actually getting better.
