We didn’t see this one coming. House Republicans are drafting Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden as we speak, and for once, they’re not being drafted by anyone whose last name is Boebert or Greene.

Biden is trapped between competing factions in his own party over the Israel-Hamas disaster, so he decided to withhold military aid from Israel this week to score political points. That’s the exact reason why Donald Trump was impeached in the Ukraine hoax. However, you shouldn’t get your hopes up that this impeachment has anything to do with Trump.

“The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) posted on X. “Only with Biden, it’s true.”

Okay, that last sentence is funny.

President Trump’s impeachment was a gross miscarriage of justice predicated on a total falsehood. Trump asked Ukraine’s corrupt dictator Volodymyr Zelensky to “look into” the rampant corruption of the Biden family and the bribes and payouts they had taken in Ukraine. Don’t forget that Joe Biden got a prosecutor fired for trying to investigate Burisma over that no-show board position they gave to Hunter Biden.

During that phone call, Trump never mentioned the possibility of withholding a $400 million aid package that Congress had appropriated for Ukraine. But in the Articles of Impeachment drafted by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Nadler insisted that Democrats could read President Trump’s mind. Their mind-reading powers told them that Trump intended to threaten to withhold aid from Ukraine, and he did this to pressure Zelensky into investigating Joe Biden for Trump’s personal political gain.

Granted, this was the first time that Articles of Impeachment were ever drafted using mystical mind-reading powers. But it seemed like a good strategy to Democrats at the time. Another problem with the impeachment against Trump was the fact that the $400 million appropriated for Ukraine was never withheld.

And of course, Trump was impeached a second time on equally stupid and unfounded reasons surrounding January 6th.

The appropriate response to this was obvious to every GOP voter the moment that Republicans retook the House in January of 2023. They should have instantly impeached Joe Biden before their first month in power was up. They didn’t even need a reason to impeach him. Just make up some mind-reading BS and a fake, non-existent crime, and impeach him.

Then impeach him again. And again. They should have impeached Joe Biden at least five times by now. They should have done this out of revenge for what the Democrats put Donald Trump through. The only way to get a bully to stop abusing you is by punching him right in his fat mouth.

Democrats weaponized the impeachment process like never before, and the Republican response thus far has been… nothing. They even have valid reasons to impeach Joe Biden. It’s not like they don’t have bank statements, check stubs, and other piles of direct evidence that his crooked family operation took more than $40 million in bribes from Ukraine, Russia, China, and other countries.

Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) says the Articles of Impeachment over the Israel aid thing are being drafted right now, however.

“These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats,” Mills told Fox News. “The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now.”

They keep mentioning Trump, but this obviously has nothing to do with him, and everything to do with the odd Israel fetish that every Republican develops the moment they arrive in Washington, DC. If they wanted to impeach Biden in revenge for the Trump impeachments, they’ve had a year and a half to do it. Plus, bribery is an actual constitutional reason for impeaching a president.

If we’re going to impeach every president for what amounts to a line-item veto from now on, DC is going to be an even bigger mess than it already is. Not that we’re speaking up in favor of Biden. Please, by all means, impeach him!

It’s just that we already know what’s going to happen with this. The DC GOP is far too predictable. Republicans will file the Articles of Impeachment, and then they’ll screw it up. This won’t even make it out of the House.
