What a President: Donald Trump Defeated Communism in Cuba

Here’s a tidbit of news that the press in America wouldn’t dare touch. The BBC is reporting that the communist regime in Cuba is pretty much admitting defeat on the whole communism thing. And it’s Donald Trump’s fault. Ha! While leftists in this country continue to stamp their feet up and down and try to cancel the careers of everyone who supported Donald Trump, other nations are going to be building statues to celebrate The Donald’s legacy.

Most of us understood from the very beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency that we were dealing with something truly special in a historic sense. Mr. Trump came this close to normalizing relations between North Korea and South Korea, and thus ending a “war” that has been ongoing for our country for 70 years.

That was part of Trump’s overall geopolitical strategy of surrounding China through better US alliances with every country that borders the Chi-Coms. Whereas past administrations have tried to ride the fence in the India-Pakistan hostilities for decades, Trump basically said, “Eh, China’s the bigger threat” – and therefore chose sides with India, which shares a sizeable border with China.

If Trump and his way-better-than-average Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had managed to secure peace with North Korea and better relations with Russia, China would have been almost entirely surrounded by nations willing to tell the communist regime, in unison, “Knock it off, creeps!” But the Deep State, unfortunately, used John Bolton and his ridiculous moustache to tank the whole thing. Who else will be not-at-all-surprised when Bolton lands on his feet with a job in the Biden regime?

Anyway, the lefty journalists at the BBC don’t want to come right out and admit what this news in Cuba truly means. They reported: “Cuba has announced it will allow private businesses to operate in most sectors, in what is a major reform to its state-controlled economy.”

Yeah. “Major reform.” That’s one way of putting it.

A more honest approach might be to admit that Cuba’s government is throwing in the towel at long last on Karl Marx’s idea of state ownership of the means of production, and therefore admitting that communism itself does not work. Communism has never worked, anywhere, no matter who has tried it. No nation can function long-term if its government throws aside the Eighth Commandment and attempts to have the government provide all things to all people. (Someone should tell the Biden regime!)

This is exciting news for the 11 million people in Cuba who will finally be allowed to start operating a non-black-market economy for the first time since 1950. And therefore, it’s terrible news for the Biden White House and the American media. Because there’s no way to give anyone credit for this other than Donald Trump.

The Obama administration tried to normalize relations with the Castro regime without demanding any reforms to their repressive and awful government. This was not as horrible as when Obama cozied up to Iran, air-mailed them pallets of cash and set them on a path toward nuclear weapons. But it was still awful. Obama wanted nothing from the Cuban government and nothing for the Cuban people living under tyranny. He just wanted to reward the communists for carrying on the revolution. Obama admired Cuba, because the communists hated America – just as he did!

Cuba stood up to America for decades because it always had its big brother, the Soviet Union, to back it up. Trump looked at the situation and once again, thought, “Yeah, the Soviet Union hasn’t existed for 30 years, so why should America put up with this pipsqueak island nation?”

After decades of pointless kowtowing to Cuba like past administrations did, Trump and Pompeo imposed crippling sanctions on Cuba. The Castros weren’t willing to come to the bargaining table, since they weren’t as smart as the Little Rocket Man in North Korea, so they got the stick instead of the carrot. And once again, Trump’s instincts were correct. Cuba’s economy shrank by 11 percent last year, and now the communists are throwing in the towel. They’re finally admitting that communism does not and can never work.

The entire world is a better, more peaceful and more prosperous place because Donald John Trump was our president for four years. Do you think anyone will be saying the same thing about the Biden regime in four years?
