Former President Donald Trump traveled to East Palestine, Ohio where residents are suffering from the recent hazardous train derailment and he had a message for Joe Biden and his administration: “Get over here!”
As residents are suffering from the unprecedented disaster, it has been well documented that Biden chose to go visit Ukraine instead and reaffirm them of his support for their war against Russia – putting Americans last per usual.
Trump said that old Joe should have prioritized a visit to East Palestine, but “chose to go a different route.”
“I think he should’ve come here. I think he should’ve been here. He should’ve been here, and he chose to go a different route,” President Trump said.
While visiting, Trump delivered multiple truckloads filled with water bottles to the Ohio residents who have had their local waters and possibly their water supply poisoned by the transportation disaster.
As the crisis rages on, it’s not just Biden who refuses to visit the Chernobyl-like disaster. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has tried to pretend that the derailment never even happened.
As we told you about earlier this week, Pete Buttigieg had remained completely silent on the environmental disaster and had thus far refused to visit until AFTER former President Trump announced he’d be visiting the town. It took Buttigieg three weeks to even acknowledge the situation and only visited AFTER Trump did on Wednesday. Trump called out Buttigieg by saying that with him as Transportation Secretary, “We’re like a third-world nation.”
The former president also stated that Buttigieg “should have been here a long time ago.”
This administration has made it CLEAR – they couldn’t care less about average Americans like those residents of East Palestine. They only serve the elite and do what’s best for them and their interests.
If there was ever any doubt of that, the East Palestine disaster is revealing the TRUTH about where their loyalties lie.
Buttigieg attempted to blame the Trump administration for the derailment by falsely claiming a proposed rule on ECP brakes that was withdrawn in 2018 had something to do with the disaster in East Palestine, and Trump responded by noting: “It had nothing to do with it.”
The unqualified Transportation Secretary also attempted to minimize the East Palestine derailment by saying that there are 1,000 train derailments each year.
“While this horrible situation has gotten a particularly high amount of attention, there are roughly 1,000 cases a year of a train derailing,” the Transportation Secretary said.
Trump further pointed out how Buttigieg is failing in every aspect of his job, saying he needs to “look at the airports, because I have people that are taking planes, and they’re delayed. They’re waiting in an airport for three days. It’s crazy what’s happening.”
They’ll send hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine for WHATEVER they want, but when it comes to hard-working Americans, the Biden administration can’t be bothered to lift a finger to help them.
