The Biden administration is fully engaged in an effort to push transgenderism on America’s youth, and now, Biden’s top transgender official is insisting it’s time to kick things up a notch.
During an appearance on MSNBC, Assistant Health Secretary Rachel Levine, the first high-ranking openly transgender official confirmed by the U.S. Senate, demanded that it was time to usher in dangerous new health policy to “empower trans youth.”
Levine claimed that doing so was critical for vulnerabilities to their mental health.
Part of the recommendation was for “gender-affirmation treatment” in states where state legislatures had blocked it.
“Well, you know, trans youth are vulnerable, and they suffer significant harassment and bullying, sometimes in schools or their community,” Levine said.
“They have more mental health issues, but there’s nothing inherent with being transgender or gender diverse, which would predispose youth to depression or anxiety. It’s that harassment and bullying. Now they are suffering politically motivated attacks through state actions against these vulnerable transgender youth. This is not based upon data. These actions are politically motivated. And so we really want to base our treatment and affirm and to support and empower these youth, not to limit their participation activities in sports and even limit their ability to get gender-affirmation treatment in their state.”
Levine’s remarks came after a federal judge blocked the Biden administration’s recent rules giving gays and transgender people extended rights in schools and the workplace such as using whatever restrooms they please.
The judge ruled that Biden’s regulators bypassed a critical requirement of federal law that must be satisfied before issuing such a regulation: giving the public notice of the regulation, time to file comments, and forcing the agency to respond to those comments.
U.S. District Judge Charles Atchley Jr. agreed with 20 state attorneys general that the regulations may infringe on states’ rights and could be seen as having been improperly drawn. Atchley blocked the implementation of the rules until a lawsuit addressing the changes could be resolved.
This push by the Biden administration has been going on for quite some time now.
Back in April, the White House falsely claimed that sex change surgeries for children are “lifesaving,” despite suicide rates amongst post-op transgenders being even higher than before, while threatening to weaponize the Department of Justice against states that tried to stop them.
At one point, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki publicly broke down in tears at the thought of children not being able have gender reassignment surgeries until they’re adults.
Biden himself also assured parents of children identifying as transgender that “affirming your child’s identity is one of the most powerful things you can do to keep them safe,” adding to transgender Americans “of all ages” that he has “[their] backs.”
