FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the House Homeland Security Committee this week. After Wray’s dinner theatre performance, it’s easy to see why the rest of the Trump administration has basically sidelined the FBI as an inconsequential joke. From top to bottom, the post-Obama FBI appears to be a partisan cesspool that has been completely compromised by the Democrats. Is there any hope for the FBI?
Here’s a look at Wray’s outrageous testimony, and what options, if any, the Trump administration has in dealing with these Russian collusion truthers.
Speaking of Russian collusion, they’re still at it, according to Wray. The man who Trump appointed to replace James Comey back in 2017 says Putin is meddling in our election. Putin’s hackers are all over Facebook and social media, according to Wray, and they are spreading dangerous misinformation to sway the election.
Among the dastardly lies that Putin is spreading: Joe Biden is senile.
Yep. If you’ve seen anything online that suggests that the 77-year-old Joe Biden’s mental acuity is going through some sort of decline, you have been tricked by Putin. Again… we’re not talking about James Comey here. This is what the current FBI Director just said in 2020.
Although Wray didn’t come right out and say it, his intentions were clear. He wants everyone to think that Putin is the puppet master pulling Donald Trump’s strings, and if Trump wins in 2020, Christopher Wray wants everyone to know that it was because of Putin’s help for the Trump campaign.
When Republicans got a chance to ask questions in the committee hearing (which is controlled by House Democrats), it got even crazier. When the current FBI Director was asked about Antifa, he went “full Nadler.” (NEVER GO “FULL NADLER!”)
Christopher Wray testified under oath that Antifa is “not an organization.” Sure, there are some individuals who dress up in the same uniform and cross state lines together to attack federal buildings and police stations who call themselves “members” of Antifa. But there is no Antifa organization.
Wray says that Antifa is more like… “kind of a movement.” It’s like an idea, really. Antifa is sort of like a happy place where you can go inside of your mind, I guess. Suddenly, the FBI’s bizarre response to the wildfires in Oregon, California and Washington this month makes sense.
Even as Oregon homeowners are holding Antifa arsonists at gunpoint and setting up roadblocks to stop them from setting more fires in their neighborhoods, the head of the FBI says there really isn’t an “Antifa.” The official policy of the FBI is that there are no organized groups that are behind the string of wildfires that everyone knows Antifa is setting.
Here’s what Capt. Jeff Smith of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Department in Oregon said in an emergency meeting last week:
“There’s reports of — and this is not specific to an area but all over the county, both outlying and even closer into town — of people of extremist groups staging gas cans for later destruction. And equally concerning is there are reports of people from other extremist groups, it’s not confirmed Antifa but suspected Antifa — this is more specific to the Estacada area — reports and sightings of people armed with chainsaws. And the goal was to fall telephones poles in hopes of starting further fires.”
See? Antifa is just an idea, really.
So, if Antifa is not a terrorist organization, what is the greatest threat facing Americans these days? Christopher Wray has the answer!
White supremacists.
Wray actually said that in a House Homeland Security Committee hearing. The biggest domestic threat to Americans is not Black Lives Matter, which has staged more than 700 riots in American cities this summer. It’s not Antifa, which is more of an idea than a terrorist group, really, amiright?
It’s white supremacists.
When pressed for some “evidence” or “facts” to back that claim up, Wray stated, “I don’t have the numbers for you.”
Sadly, it looks like America is probably stuck with Christopher Wray as FBI Director until after Trump wins reelection. It would be too much of a distraction to fire him right now, especially after the way that Democrats squawked when Trump fired Wray’s predecessor. If Republicans can manage to re-take the House in November, impeachment will be off the table for the Democrats. My guess is that Never-Trumper Christopher Wray’s days in “government service” will be over if that happens.
