Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. made the big announcement on Friday. He is sort-of-but-not-really suspending his campaign in some states but not others. His campaign will continue in 40 of the 50 states and he wants as many Democrats as possible to vote for him in those states.
In the remaining ten battleground states, however, he is removing his name from the ballot and encouraging all his supporters to vote for Donald Trump.
We’ll explain all this in a second. In the meantime, we do have to give RFK props for managing to steal what little thunder the Democrat Party may have been feeling the day after their DNC convention wrapped up.
Imagine the disappointment that Democrat voters must be feeling after that DNC convention right now. They have a nominee that was selected for them by shadowy forces in a dark room. No one voted for the nominee! No one even liked the nominee six weeks ago.
The biggest entertainment headliner they were able to lure into performing at the convention was the freakin’ Dixie Chicks. Oh, sorry. The Chicks. (Is it just me or is that middle Chick starting to look a lot like Brian Dennehy? She should try the Atkins.)
The DNC had to lie to everyone and told them there was going to be a free Beyoncé concert on the last night of the convention, just so the crowd wouldn’t all get up and leave before Kamala Harris’s big speech.
You know your convention sucked when the highlight was the Tim Walz Vasectomy Van in the back parking lot.
And now this!
RFK, Jr., who is now running as an Independent after the Democrats destroyed democracy to try to get rid of him, has some specific instructions for his followers going forward. This message is directed at any Democrat or Independent voters who are disgusted by the way that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have wrecked the country, but still can’t get over their bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
If you’re a Democrat or Independent in a deep blue state, go ahead and vote for RFK, Jr. You’re not going to hurt Trump’s chances in places like Connecticut or Illinois, so go ahead and vote for Kennedy. You won’t hurt Kamala Harris’s chances in those states either, but at least you will still have your dignity by voting for RFK.
The same rule applies if you’re a Democrat or Independent in a deep red state. Go ahead and vote for RFK there as well. You’re not going to hurt Donald Trump’s chances in states like Oklahoma, North Dakota, or Idaho if you vote for RFK. You will, however, get to experience the satisfaction of giving Kamala Harris the middle finger. Trust us—it feels good to do that!
Here’s the key part of RFK’s plan for his supporters, though. If you live in one of the ten battleground states where he is suspending his campaign, he wants you to vote for Donald Trump.
Kennedy is suspending his campaign in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Virginia. We’re not sure what the additional three states are yet and we’re waiting for those to be confirmed.
By doing this, Kennedy and his running mate Nicole Shanahan hope to prevent a Kamala Harris dictatorship, and hopefully preserve a little bit of power for independents who are frustrated by both parties.
It’s a smart move by both Kennedy and Trump when you think of it that way. Disaffected Democrats and Independents will get a little something out of it, and it throws more support behind President Trump on the march to victory. If it carries Donald Trump across the finish line in November, I’m all for it. Maybe a coalition team-up like this is just what we need to reelect President Trump beyond the margin of Democrat cheating. Plus, Trump can always fire RFK, Jr. if he gets too back-stabby.
By staying in the race, Kennedy will also force the Kamala Harris campaign to redirect resources and play defense against two campaigns instead of just one. Here’s RFK, Jr. explaining some of the reasons why he decided to make this move against the corrupt Democrat Party:
WATCH — RFK Jr. absolutely SHREDS the liberal media:
“[O]ur television networks exposed themselves as Democratic Party organs. Over the course of more than a year, in a campaign where my poll number is reached, at times, in the high 20s, the DNC-aligned mainstream media… pic.twitter.com/u5SXfDpFQl
