Pope Leo XIV Takes Aim at Trump’s America

Well, folks, it looks like the Pope’s gone political — again. And not just any Pope. This is Pope Leo XIV, the first American ever to sit on the Throne of St. Peter. You’d think a guy born and raised under the red, white, and blue might have a little more love for the country that gave him everything. But no — apparently, the Vatican now doubles as a satellite office for the DNC.

According to a report from Reuters, Pope Leo met with a group of American bishops in the Vatican and gave them a clear marching order: speak out against President Trump’s immigration policies. Yes, the same policies that are finally putting America first, securing our borders, and sending a very polite RSVP of “no thanks” to illegal immigration.

And what did Pope Leo base his passionate plea on? Divine inspiration? Scripture? Nope. He was reportedly handed “dozens” of letters from left-wing activists and illegal aliens. That’s right — the Pope is now taking his cues from the MoveOn.org mailbag.

In a truly eyebrow-raising move, he urged American bishops to get louder in criticizing Trump’s efforts to deport millions of people who broke the law to enter this country. Because nothing says “spiritual leadership” like lobbying for open borders.

Now, I don’t want to come off as too harsh here, but let’s pause for a second. The first American Pope — a historic moment, a chance to reflect the values of faith and patriotism — and instead, he’s using his pulpit to bash the President of the United States and undermine national sovereignty. Talk about a betrayal. It’s like finding out George Washington was secretly rooting for King George.

And the hypocrisy? Off the charts. Pope Leo says you can’t call yourself pro-life if you support deporting illegal immigrants. Excuse me? Since when does upholding immigration law disqualify someone from being pro-life? President Trump is the most pro-life president in modern history. He’s defended the unborn like no one else, rolled back Biden-era abortion extremism, and returned the power to protect life back to the states where it belongs.

But apparently, if you don’t also support turning the U.S. into a sanctuary free-for-all, you’re not really pro-life. That’s like saying you can’t be a vegetarian unless you also drive a Prius and compost your feelings.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hit back with precision, reminding the world that the only inhumane treatment was Biden’s border disaster — the child trafficking, the cartel-controlled crossings, the drugs, the chaos, and the death. President Trump’s policies? They’re about law and order, safety, and compassion that starts with ending the nightmare at the border.

Let’s be clear here: nobody is against legal immigrants. America has always welcomed people chasing the American dream — legally. But what President Trump is doing is restoring the rule of law. You can’t have a country without borders, and you can’t have borders without enforcement.

Pope Leo talks about welcoming migrants as “brothers and sisters.” That’s noble, but here’s a thought: maybe he should start by opening the Vatican’s own walls or asking why countries like Mexico and Guatemala aren’t doing more to help their own people. Why is it always America’s job to clean up the world’s mess while getting lectured from Rome?

At the end of the day, Americans elected President Trump to put their interests first. Not the Vatican’s. Not the UN’s. And certainly not the open-borders lobby dressed in clerical collars. The Pope can preach all he wants, but when it comes to protecting our nation, the President answers to the Constitution — not the College of Cardinals.

So with all due respect to the Holy Father: stay in your lane. Let Trump do what he was elected to do — defend America.
