Obama Resurfaces, Blames Trump, Ignores His Own Legacy

Barack Obama has once again emerged from his Martha’s Vineyard mansion for a rare public appearance, and, surprise surprise, he’s blaming Donald Trump for the state of America. Yes, according to the man who weaponized racial division like it was going out of style, it’s not his fault the country is fractured. No sir, it’s Trump’s. Because apparently, eight years of Obama fanning the flames of identity politics never happened. He didn’t see it. He was too busy perfecting his jump shot and polishing his Nobel Peace Prize.

Speaking at the Jefferson Society, Obama claimed that “those extreme views were not in my White House.” Really? Tell that to the Tea Party groups who were harassed by the IRS under his watch. Tell that to the millions of Americans he dismissed as bitter clingers who “cling to guns or religion.” Tell that to anyone who actually paid attention to his presidency and didn’t just swoon every time he read a teleprompter with flair.

Let’s rewind the tape. The Tea Party didn’t pop out of thin air. It was a grassroots response to bailouts, big government, and Obama’s top-down, elitist policies. But the moment it started gaining traction, Obama and his media lapdogs went nuclear. He didn’t try to understand the movement; he tried to dismantle it. The White House sent out the memo: smear them as racists. And the media dutifully complied.

Then came the IRS scandal, where conservative groups were targeted like they had just knocked over a bank. Lois Lerner, a bureaucrat with all the charm of a DMV on a Monday morning, denied Tea Party groups tax-exempt status and demanded donor lists. When Congress came knocking, she pled the Fifth, because nothing says “I’m innocent” like refusing to testify under oath.

And let’s not forget Obama’s favorite rhetorical trick: painting every conservative critique as rooted in racism. If you disagreed with him, it wasn’t because you supported the Constitution or free markets. No, you were a bigot, a xenophobe, a card-carrying member of the Klan by default. This wasn’t just dishonest. It was dangerous. It taught a whole generation of liberals to see political disagreement not as debate, but as moral failing.

Fast forward to today, and Obama has the gall to act like he was some kind of unity unicorn. The man who practically invented woke politics is now shocked, shocked, that the country is divided. That’s like an arsonist being surprised the building’s on fire. What’s more insulting is his attempt to rewrite history. He wants us to believe he governed as a centrist while stoking the racial fires that led to the rise of critical race theory, DEI madness, and the endless grievance Olympics we’re watching unfold in our schools, workplaces, and even our military.

Let’s be clear: Obama didn’t just preside over division. He engineered it. He perfected the art of pitting Americans against each other, then floated above it all like he had nothing to do with it. His presidency made Americans more suspicious of each other, more tribal, and more cynical. And now he wants to wipe his hands clean and blame it all on Trump? That’s not leadership. That’s cowardice wrapped in a designer suit.

The media, of course, will eat it up. They’ll gush about his “grace” and “eloquence” while ignoring the wreckage he left behind. But Americans who actually lived through the Obama years remember the truth. They remember the IRS targeting, the race-baiting, the economic stagnation, and the lectures from a president who always seemed to think he was above the people he served.

Obama’s return isn’t just a trip down memory lane. It’s a warning. The left still worships the man who lit the match. And now, as they try to rewrite the past, it’s up to us to remind them who really started the fire.
