New Evidence Shows Media Lies about Ventilators Killed COVID Patients in 2020

Breathing circuit of patient on the ventilator in ICU

The lying media used every opportunity to criticize President Donald Trump in 2020, to the point where COVID hysteria got people killed. One of the lies they told was that Trump wasn’t providing enough ventilators. An associated lie was that ventilators could help COVID patients breathe when they were intubated.

New research by doctors at Northwestern University, however, has shown that ventilating COVID patients killed an awful lot of them. It was never a viable treatment, but the media freakout over ventilators led to many additional deaths.

Defeating Trump in the 2020 election was more important to the Democrats and the media than saving people’s lives. COVID hysteria was the perfect vehicle to criticize every move that Trump made. He’s wrong! He’s crazy! He wants people to die! He told people to inject bleach into their arms! It was all lies.

The ventilator freakout happened very early on during the pandemic. Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was complaining that hospitals just didn’t have enough ventilators. Trump responded by saying he didn’t think they needed that many ventilators. So, the media attacked.

The New York Times wrote in one headline, “There Aren’t Enough Ventilators to Cope with the Coronavirus.”

Eventually, Trump basically said, “Fine,” and solved the non-existent problem by rounding up tons of ventilators and getting them out to the states. The problem was solved, and they could no longer attack him over the ventilators.

Unfortunately, the hospitals started using those ventilators on a lot of patients. The logic behind this was that COVID was so awful that people couldn’t breathe on their own without a ventilator. That was of course a lie (about COVID), and everyone knows it now. It was never that bad and in fact, kills a lot fewer people than other types of respiratory viruses.

The hospitals and doctors ventilating the patients knew this, too. The purpose of the ventilators wasn’t to help the patients. The purpose was to prevent hospital staffers from catching COVID. No, really. They ventilated patients to protect themselves.

A person who is intubated with a ventilator expels far fewer viral particles than a person who is not intubated. Then, as the researchers at Northwestern note, lots of ventilated patients started dying from a condition called Ventilator Acquired Pneumonia, or VAP.

Having a tube jammed down into your lungs creates a pathway for all types of bacterial and other infections. Those infections are deep down in the lungs and are very difficult to treat. Even antibiotics have trouble making a dent against VAP cases.

The researchers concluded that “The importance of VAP [ventilator-acquired pneumonia] as a driver of mortality in patients with COVID-19 has been underestimated.”

Ventilated patients with VAP who did not have COVID-19 died at a rate of about 17.6%, according to the researchers. Ventilated VAP patients who did have COVID-19 died at a rate of 76.4%. In layman’s terms, the ventilators increased a person’s chances of dying from COVID by about 400%.

Donald Trump was viciously attacked for not providing ventilators, and the media and the medical community ended up killing extra people with ventilators when Trump solved the problem. How many of the deaths that were attributed to COVID were actually VAP deaths? We don’t know the answer to that, and probably never will. It was all used as part of the psy-op that ultimately led to 6 out of 10 Americans being spooked into taking an experimental vaccine.

A year after all of this happened, states couldn’t even give away their excess ventilators for free. A lot of states ended up dumping the ventilators in the landfill.

The medical community has completely destroyed its credibility in such a short period of time that it almost makes your head spin. You’re better off listening to a Cajun grandmother who lives deep in the swamps in Louisiana than these people. It’s weird to think about it now, but your doctor could very well have killed people simply as part of the effort to “get Trump” in 2020.

This is just one of many instances where the people who caused all this harm to our society want us to “forgive and forget.” We should never forgive them, because the people who’ve caused this are still unwilling to admit what they did and apologize for it.
