Out of all the things that have happened in this very crazy 2024, nothing has been funnier than the saga of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her loverboy Nathan Wade. The whole thing has been equal parts train wreck, dumpster fire, and comedic soap opera. The House Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed Nathan Wade and wants to talk to him about those suspicious meetings he had at the White House before Donald Trump was indicted in Georgia.

Actually, the committee is trying to subpoena him. Wade has gone on the run and a manhunt is underway as the US Marshals try to process serve him.

Quick recap for those who don’t remember last spring, which feels like an eternity ago:

The moment that Donald Trump announced that he was running for reelection, the Biden White House launched a full-scale lawfare attack against him and everyone who has ever been associated with him. They charged him with a zillion crimes, raided his home, and rifled through Melania’s outfits.

In Georgia, Soros-funded District Attorney Fani Willis was assigned to charge Trump with a bunch of nonsense crimes. Because she is a ridiculously corrupt public official (allegedly), she immediately appointed her boyfriend to lead the prosecution team—Nathan Wade. Fani passed over all the experienced RICO case prosecutors in Georgia and gave the job to her loverboy, who is a mediocre family attorney who specializes in paternity suits.

Loverboy Nathan started billing Fulton County ridiculous amounts for his services. He once submitted an invoice that claimed he had worked for 24 hours straight on the case. He was also dumb enough to bill Fulton County—twice—for traveling to the White House and meeting with Joe Biden’s attorneys. That’s what the House Judiciary Committee wants to talk to him about.

As Nathan was billing Fulton County taxpayers nearly a million dollars for his services, he was taking Fani on luxury vacations around the Western hemisphere, showering her with fancy gifts, and sneaking out of his house late at night for booty calls. Oh, and Nathan was married at the time.

When the news of their affair broke, Mrs. Wade was more than willing to come and testify about what a snake (allegedly) her now ex-husband was. To prevent her from doing that, Wade quickly gave her a divorce settlement so they could get the records sealed.  We’re guessing Mrs. Wade took him to the cleaners to get that deal.

Fani and Nathan both testified under oath in June that their relationship had ended before they had indicted President Trump and his associates on a boatload of crimes. Despite the obvious corruption and personal benefit that the two were enjoying, the judge only had them kick Nathan Wade off the case. He allowed Fani to stay on it. It was the most hilarious, must-see television event of the year.

The case is now on hold because the Georgia legislature and the appeals courts are deciding whether Fani Willis should be removed from the case, and her job as Fulton County District Attorney. President Trump’s trial doesn’t even have a date set at this point because there are so many irons in the fire.

Two weeks ago, Judge Scott McAfee threw out two of the charges against Trump. He ruled that the charges related to the alternate electors in Georgia in 2020 were outside of Georgia state jurisdiction, so he had to throw them out. Fani’s team may be good at spending taxpayer money on trips to Bimini for themselves, but they don’t seem to be very talented at lawyering.

So now, Nathan Wade is on the run, and taxpayer money is once again being spent on this guy for no good reason. The House Judiciary Committee has issued more than 100 subpoenas during this session and most of them have involved no hiccups.

“Nathan Wade’s evasion of service is extremely unusual and will require the Committee to spend U.S. tax dollars to locate him,” said a committee spokesman.

The committee has sent the US Marshals to hunt Nathan down and serve him papers. He’s not answering his phone. He’s not at home. He has to know they’re hunting him, otherwise he wouldn’t have vanished like this. We have a hint for the US Marshals: Check Fani’s closets and underneath her bed!

Update:

Just as we were wrapping up this report, the news broke that Nathan Wade had been located by the US Marshals and served with a subpoena from Congress. We haven’t confirmed whether he was hiding underneath Fani’s bed.
