Left-Wing Media Teams with Conservative Elites to Attack Trump over Midterm Failures

Tuesday’s midterm elections didn’t exactly provide the “red tsunami we had all anticipated, and now the media is spreading lies about who we should all blame for it.

Mainstream media has been trying to discredit Trump, saying he alone is to blame for the GOP’s lackluster performance, but it could all be part of a clever plan to drive a wedge through the heart of the Republican party ahead of 2024.

MSNBC host Chris Hayes, for example, claimed of Trump, “He doesn’t have a magic power; he is unpopular.”

“He is unpopular. He screwed you today. He screwed you!” he said emphatically.

“… and the sooner you dump him, the better it is for the Republican Party and for American democracy, full stop!”

The key takeaway here is Hayes, who is as far-left as it gets, propagating the false narrative that dumping Trump is somehow “better” for the Republican party.

The interesting thing about this blame-Trump narrative is that it’s not only coming from the usual left-wing outlets we have come to expect as the usual culprits for disseminating propaganda.

Fox News has been calling for the GOP to take a deep look in the mirror after the midterm failure.

The outlet has been featuring guests like writer Marc Thiessen who said the results are a “searing indictment” of the Republican Party.

We had the worst inflation in four decades, the worst collapse in real wages in 40 years, the worst crime wave since the 1990s, the worst border crisis in U.S. history. We have Joe Biden, who is the least popular president since Harry Truman — since presidential polling happened — and there wasn’t a red wave,” the Fox News contributor said.

“That is a searing indictment of the Republican Party,” he continued. “That is a searing indictment of the message that we have been sending to the voters. They’ve looked at all of that, and looked at Republican alternative, and said no thanks.

Falling short of explicitly blaming Trump, Thiessen said it was time for the Republican party to move on and look to Republicans like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as the future.

The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro, who is a rabid anti-Trumper, has been putting the GOP’s poor performance exclusively on Donald Trump.

Shapiro claimed that Trump was “a major drag on Republicans, from his picks to his antics,” adding that his continued hold on the GOP could hamper it in 2024.

“Trump picked bad candidates, spent almost no money on his hand-picked candidates, and then proceeded to crap on the Republicans who lost and didn’t sufficiently bend the knee,” Shapiro wrote. “This will have 2024 impact.”

The reality is, however, that by advancing this anti-Trump narrative, conservatives are playing exactly into the Democrats’ hands.

The left knows that their best chance of retaining the White House in 2024 is if the top Republicans – likely Trump and DeSantis – are forced to square off in a brutal primary.

The Democrats have found a way to divide and fragment the Republican party – and it seems even mainstream conservative outlets have fallen right into their trap.

Serving as proof of that, President Biden has revealed that he would love to see Trump and DeSantis fight it out for the Republican nomination.

“It would be fun watching them take on each other,” Biden said sporting a sinister grin.
