There’s an old saying that when the only tool that you own is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. The leftwing fake news media has proven that truism in glorious fashion this week. Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe announced that Iran has been wagging the American media dogs. When the punchline to every news story is “Trump is evil,” it becomes very easy for America’s enemies to exploit the media and make them look like gullible children.
Registered Democrats in Florida, Alaska, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and possibly other states have been receiving threatening emails. Here’s the text of one of those messages:
“We are in possession of all your information (email, address, telephone… everything). You are currently registered as a Democrat and we know this because we have gained access into the entire voting infrastructure. You will vote for Trump on Election Day or we will come after you. Change your party affiliation to Republican to let us you received our message and will comply. We will know which candidate you voted for. I would take this seriously if I were you.”
The email sender is listed as the pro-Trump Proud Boys.
Anything sound “off” about this story? For example, do you find it just a little bit odd that someone committing a clear and open civil rights violation (voter intimidation) would sign their name to the threatening letter they’re sending to people?
Not if you’re in the media! One of the worst symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome is that it seems to switch off all rational thought in the brain. Anything that could possibly be used to make Donald Trump or his supporters look bad is immediately perceived as true and accurate.
Jussie Smollett claims two Trump supporters in red hats jumped him during a polar vortex in Chicago, poured bleach on him, tied a rope around his neck and screamed “This is MAGA country!” into the night.
Media: Sounds legit!
Bubba Wallace sees a “noose” hanging in his NASCAR garage, causing the FBI to dispatch dozens of agents to Talladega to hunt for Klan members.
Media: Nothing fishy about that!
18-year-old Althea Bernstein in Madison, WI, claimed that four “typical Wisconsin frat boys” in Hawaiian shirts poured lighter fluid on her and set her on fire while shouting the N-word at her. Meanwhile, one block away from where she claimed this happened, Black Lives Matter was pouring lighter fluid all over a government building to set it on fire.
Media: Damn those Trump-supporting Magnum, PI fans!
The media falls for every flimsy hate hoax that is floated in front of them. Just as they fell for everything that the FBI and CIA “anonymous sources” floated in front of them for three years with the Russia hoax. If a dimwit like Jussie Smollett can fool the gullible American media, and the CIA and FBI routinely fool the gullible American media, is it any surprise then that America’s enemies would notice this and try to take advantage of the gullible American media?
Media outlets across the country pounced on the story of the “Proud Boys” emails, running headlines that Trump’s “white supremacist” supporters were threatening to murder Democrats unless they vote for Trump. MSNBC, the Washington Post, PBS, and all the rest of the usual suspects immediately jumped on board and reported that the Proud Boys were engaged in voter suppression and intimidation. You know – because they were following Trump’s secret coded dog whistle white supremacy orders that he delivers every day in his rallies. Secret racism messages that only the media can detect!
But according to DNI Ratcliffe, the messages were sent by Iranian intelligence services. The Iranians obtained voter rolls of Democrats in several states and then “spoofed” the sender’s email address, to make it look like they were being sent by the Proud Boys.
By immediately jumping on the story with their “I Hate Trump” blinders firmly affixed to their faces, the media played directly into Iran’s hands. Iran has realized that they can lead the American media around like a cat chasing a laser pointer just as easily as Trump does. If you tell them exactly what they want to hear, they’ll believe it and report it – no matter how outlandish the premise is!
If Iran has figured this out, then many other enemies of America probably have, too. A curious media that was capable of doing its job might notice that Iran wants Joe Biden to win. But that might cause too much cognitive dissonance and upset their worldview.
