Watching the attack on the US embassy compound in Benghazi, Libya back in 2012 was shocking for many Americans. Four embassy personnel were killed – including our ambassador – and the embassy was torched in a terrorist attack.
Watching a US embassy as it is attacked or abandoning an embassy in some catastrophic foreign policy blunder, is extremely rare in US history. The only incident previous to Benghazi that many of us could even remember was the Fall of Saigon back in 1975. So, we are truly blessed to have the imposter Joe Biden in the White House. He’s now given us two of these historically rare events in less than five months!
Who could forget the Afghanistan debacle from last August? Biden ordered the military out of Afghanistan in the dead of night without alerting embassy personnel or even America’s allies who were still in the country. He shut down the most sophisticated air support base in the world, and then told the remaining unarmed civilians and embassy folks to run for it.
Biden got 13 American warriors killed in completely pointless terror attack at the airport – and checked his watch as their bodies were brought home to the US. This was the most disastrous and humiliating withdrawal that Americans had ever seen to that point. But don’t worry, we’ve still got three more years of this regime to try to top that!
More recently, Biden authorized the voluntary removal of US embassy personnel from Ukraine. He also told all other US citizens in Ukraine to get out while they still can. This happened just a few days after Biden’s train-wreck of a press conference in which he gave Russia a green light to invade Ukraine.
The Ukrainian government was baffled by this move by Joe Biden. Especially since there has been no change in the stances between Russia and Ukraine in the past few weeks. A Ukraine foreign ministry spokesman said:
“As we respect the right of foreign states to ensure the security of their diplomatic staff, we believe that the move of the U.S. side is premature and displays excessive caution. There has been no drastic change in the security levels lately, considering that the Russian threat has been persisting since 2014, and the Russian military buildup near the border began back in April 2021.”
Despite all the hyperventilating from the warmongers in Washington, DC, the Ukraine government doesn’t seem terribly worried that Putin is going to invade. He moves tanks up to the border all the time as a show of force – primarily when NATO is threatening to make Ukraine a member nation. It’s kind of funny that Putin didn’t do anything like this saber rattling back when Donald Trump was in office. Trump had NATO worried about other things, such as paying their own bills, so they didn’t have time to persist with these threats against Russia.
One Ukrainian official said Americans were under no immediate threat and had no reason to evacuate the embassy:
“Americans are safer in Kyiv than they are in Los Angeles.”
That is a hilarious and objectively true statement. Any number of American cities run by Democrats these days are far more dangerous to be in than Kiev. Or Kyiv, as we’re suddenly spelling it these days.
Aside from the fact that there is no strategic national security interest in America getting involved in a war with Russia, it’s almost a guarantee that none of the foreign policy geniuses pushing for war even understand what this little regional squabble on the other side of the earth is about. The next time you encounter a neocon who thinks we should absolutely go to war to defend Ukraine’s borders, ask them this:
“But what if Putin just annexed Malorossiya and left Ruthenia alone?”
You’ll get a blank stare from them, because they don’t even realize that “Ukraine” is an invented nation that the diplomats created out of thin air after the fall of the Soviet Union. “Ukraine” is actually two non-homogenous nations with two different languages and two different peoples. And one of those groups are Russians who speak Russian and would likely welcome Putin with open arms if he invaded.
Joe Biden is now threatening to move aircraft carriers and 50,000 American troops into the region. Maybe someone should mention to him that other than a few politicians in Ukraine, no one over there seems the least bit worried that Putin is actually going to invade.
