Fani Willis Slapped with Massive Fine as Her Career Swirls the Drain

One of the most hilarious and entertaining events of 2024 was watching the lawfare case against President Trump in Georgia fall apart.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was caught having an extramarital affair with her married loverboy Nathan Wade, who she had appointed to be the lead prosecutor in the case. Even though Donald Trump decisively won the election, which nullified the case against him, Fani is bitterly still trying to prosecute 14 of Trump’s co-defendants.

It’s not going well for her. It’s going so poorly, in fact, that her career could soon be over.

Mike Roman is one of the Trump associates that Fani is still trying to prosecute. He’s being represented by an attorney named Ashleigh Merchant. Attorney Merchant is the one who broke the bombshell news last year that Fani and her lead prosecutor Nathan Wade were sleeping around, and that they had a vested financial interest in trying to prosecute Donald Trump and his associates.

Nathan Wade was a mediocre family law attorney when he started sleeping around with Fani. Most of the cases that he handled were paternity suits. Fani Willis passed over much more qualified RICO prosecutors in Georgia to appoint her boyfriend as the lead prosecutor in the Trump case. She paid him an enormous salary totaling nearly $1 million in Fulton County taxpayer money—far more than any other prosecutors on the case were making.

Nathan promptly started spending that sweet salary on Fani. He took her on luxury cruises in the Bahamas and wine-tasting tours in Napa Valley, California. The two lovebirds tried to cover up their romance for the ages, but it ultimately got Nathan Wade kicked off the case. His wife also had a field day with the story in divorce court.

But back to the more recent developments.

Merchant has been trying to obtain some specific records from Fani’s office to help build Mike Roman’s case. If you thought that Fani Willis was corrupt before, just wait until you hear about these records!

Before she publicly announced that she would be prosecuting President Trump in August of 2023, Fani Willis hired multiple polling firms. The job of these firms was to track public sentiment toward Fani’s statements about President Trump and the case. She was going to try the case in public before it ever reached the courtroom, and she want to make sure that her “messaging” was winning over CNN viewers.

This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the case was always political in nature and not legal. Have you ever heard of a prosecutor hiring polling firms to gauge their public statements about a case? That sounds like something that California Governor Gavin Newsom would do if he were a prosecutor.

Fani’s office stonewalled Merchant and refused to turn over the reports from the polling firms. So, Merchant sued Fani for violating Georgia’s Open Records Act.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Rachel Krause ruled that Fani’s office had violated the Open Records Act. Judge Krause found that the refusals to turn over the records “were intentional, not done in good faith, and were substantially groundless and vexatious.”

The trial revealed that Fani’s office had been “openly hostile” to Merchant’s legitimate requests for public records. Fani’s open records officer admitted on the witness stand that he refused to speak with Merchant on the phone. The DA’s office under Fani’s “leadership” basically acted like a bunch of spoiled children.

Judge Krause has ordered Fani’s office to turn over the polling records. Fani’s actions were deemed so outrageous that the judge ordered her to pay Merchant $54,000 in attorney fees. Fani Willis has 30 days to produce the records and to pay the $54,000 penalty or she’ll be found in contempt.

Your career as a prosecutor might not be going well if…

The sad thing is that 14 of President Trump’s co-defendants in this bogus, Soros-funded case are still stuck in a legal battle with Fani Willis. President Trump can’t pardon them because they haven’t been convicted of anything. Their only hope to bring an end to this farce would be for the Georgia Supreme Court to step in and put the final nail in the coffin of Fani Willis’s career. And so far, Georgia’s high court hasn’t made a decision on whether to do that.
