Three cheers for xenophobic nativism and immigration protectionism! Anyone who looks at the Martha’s Vineyard saga with 50 illegal aliens from Venezuela and calls the liberals “the real racists” is missing the point. The citizens of the island community quickly banded together and sent men with guns to kick the invaders out. Bravo!

Martha’s Vineyard is beautiful. I’d love to live in a place like that. It’s a place with almost zero diversity, has great schools and zero crime. The place is spotless, you never see the people of Martha’s Vineyard having to pick up random garbage off of their front lawns, strewn about by invaders that don’t take the same pride in their village. Every city in the country could be as beautiful as Martha’s Vineyard if all Americans had the same political will as the residents there.

This whole “send the illegals to liberal sanctuary cities” thing was President Donald Trump’s idea. Remember that? When Trump first made the suggestion, liberals pitched a massive hissy fit. Nancy Pelosi claimed that MS-13 animals had magical divinity sparkles. No human being was illegal! And the evil Donald Trump was using them as political pawns!

Tucker Carlson gave one of his funniest monologues ever in response to the suggestion. He likened the idea of sending illegals to sanctuary cities to finding a pony tied to your mailbox on Christmas morning. Best day ever!

Surely the liberals who endlessly virtue signal about their sanctuary cities would welcome the idea of shouldering the permanent, cradle-to-grave responsibility of absorbing thousands of welfare recipients to their cities. Right?

But that’s not what has happened. In the past few weeks, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona have been sending busloads of illegals to sanctuary cities. The illegals have been dropped off in places like Washington, DC and New York City. Several busloads have been dumped in front of Kamala Harris’s DC home in the past week. And sure enough, the liberals are not happy about this.

The mayors of these places are complaining that having hordes of illegals show up is straining city services – and that’s just not fair. Aw, gee. That sucks.

Let’s compare Del Rio, Texas and its encounters with illegal aliens this year to what just happened in Martha’s Vineyard. Del Rio has a population of 34,584 residents. The median household income in Del Rio is just over $44,000 a year for a couple. Del Rio is averaging approximately 50,000 “migrant encounters” per month and has been ever since Joe Biden took office.

Martha’s Vineyard, on the other hand, has a population of around 17,000 residents. Annual household income is in the $133,000 per year range. And Martha’s Vineyard just had 50 immigrant encounters in September, courtesy of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. As expected, the liberals in Martha’s Vineyard freaked. And not like the liberals in New York or Washington, DC.

Martha’s Vineyard had their state’s governor call in the National Guard, so that men with guns could round the invaders up and haul them off to a military camp for processing. It was beautiful! Wouldn’t it be great if Greg Abbot and Doug Ducey had the political will that the effete one-percenters in Martha’s Vineyard have? Abbott and Ducey could seal off the border in their states in a heartbeat if they wanted to. But they’re too cowardly. They’re not tall enough for this ride.

That’s why it looks like newcomer, MAGA Republican candidate Kari Lake is headed to a potential landslide victory in the Arizona governor’s race this November. She’s going to seal the border off and she has a plan to do it. When Governor Lake is in charge, Arizona will be as off-limits for illegals as Martha’s Vineyard is right now.

As soon as 50 illegals showed up in Martha’s Vineyard, they fed them some cheap, sugary cereal, put them up on cots or sleeping bags for the night, and then kicked them out. Beautiful! Why can’t the mayors of Salt Lake City, Spokane, Portland and Peoria care about their citizens as much as the liberal leaders of Martha’s Vineyard? If more communities had the guts to tell the illegals, “You’re not welcome here” as the libs in Martha’s Vineyard just did, maybe they’d stop trying to come here in droves.
