She was supposed to be part of the #Resistance, bravely standing up to Trump. Instead, it turns out she was taking coaching tips from the island’s most notorious resident during congressional hearings. Yep, while Michael Cohen was testifying, Plaskett was texting Epstein, who was giving her pointers on how to kneecap Trump. Plot twist: Epstein hated Trump. Like, loathed him. The man who allegedly schmoozed with every power player in the hemisphere couldn’t stand Donald J. Trump. So much for the media’s favorite narrative that they were besties sharing cigars and plane rides.

Now Plaskett is doing verbal gymnastics to explain it all away. She said Epstein was her “constituent.” That’s like saying Al Capone was a local businessman. She claimed she didn’t know he was under investigation, even though in 2008 Epstein got the slap-on-the-wrist sentence heard ‘round the world for a prostitution case that everyone and their dog knew was just the tip of the iceberg. Plaskett even tried spinning it as a noble attempt to get “information to get at the truth.” That’s rich. When CNN is the one pressing you for clarity, you know your talking points have left the building.

And right on cue, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries jumped in to defend her. Because nothing says “clean hands” like defending someone who was texting a convicted sex offender during federal hearings. But wait, there’s more. Turns out Jeffries himself had ties to Epstein. Emails show Democrat fundraisers were thrilled to invite Epstein to meet privately with Jeffries, calling him “Brooklyn’s Barack.” That’s not a compliment, by the way. It’s more like a warning label.

One email practically begged Epstein to get to know Jeffries better. You know, just two guys connecting over cocktails and campaign donations. Because if there’s one thing Democrats never tire of, it’s taking money from all the wrong people while preaching about morality from the steps of Congress.

Here’s the bottom line: the Epstein Files weren’t the smoking gun the left was hoping for. Instead, they’re a mirror reflecting back decades of Democrat hypocrisy, backdoor deals, and moral rot. It’s like they tried to light a fire for Trump and ended up torching their own political house. When you lie down with dogs like Epstein, don’t be surprised when you wake up with fleas, subpoenas, and CNN asking uncomfortable questions.

So while the Democrats were busy setting traps for President Trump, he was already three moves ahead. And now, the very files they hyped up as their golden ticket to impeachment have turned into a flaming pile of receipts, and most of them have a blue stamp on the corner.
