Well, looks like Don Lemon finally made headlines for something other than getting fired from CNN or wearing tighter pants than the Constitution allows. The former news anchor, now apparently moonlighting as a civil unrest enthusiast, was slapped with federal charges Friday after his alleged role in storming a Minnesota church during a Sunday service with a mob of anti-ICE protesters.
Yes, you read that correctly. The same man who once lectured America about “decency” and “democracy” is now facing federal charges for interfering with the First Amendment rights of a religious congregation. You just can’t make this stuff up. But unfortunately, the Democrats did.
According to Homeland Security officials, Lemon was arrested in Los Angeles early Friday morning and is now charged under two hefty federal statutes. The first one, 18 USC 241, is Conspiracy to Deprive Rights. That’s the legalese version of “we caught you trying to stomp on someone else’s constitutional freedoms.” The second charge falls under 18 USC 248, the FACE Act, which protects access to both health clinics and places of religious worship. He now faces up to a decade in prison if convicted on all counts. That’s quite a rap sheet.
And this wasn’t just a minor disruption. The church incident on January 18 was much more violent than what’s previously been reported. Reports previously said the protesters did not engage with church attendees and instead just marched through the holy building disrupting service. Lemon’s arrest details make it clear that the protesters got in church attendees faces, screamed at them inches away from their faces, with some even getting in toddler’s faces. Protesters allegedly told the children that their parents were going to hell because they attend a church where an ICE employee supposedly works.
One woman was reportedly running to protect her child from the attackers when she slipped and fell. She broke her arm at church because Don Lemon and his new anti-ICE protest friends thought interrupting a church service was the best way to oppose immigration policy.
Let’s pause and take this in: a former CNN anchor, a man who once claimed to be the moral compass of America, is now facing more than a decade in prison for violating the very constitutional rights he once pretended to defend. And where’s the outrage from his media buddies? Where’s Anderson Cooper with a solemn monologue? Where’s Joy Reid with a 12-minute TED Talk on “church-storming privilege”? Nowhere. Because when the left breaks the law, they call it “activism.” When the right reads the Constitution, they call it “dangerous extremism.”
This behavior isn’t just hypocritical, it’s dangerous. The same Democrats who spent four years crying about “threats to democracy” are now literally barging into churches to silence dissent. And let’s not forget, this all started under the Biden regime’s culture of lawlessness, where the DOJ was weaponized against parents, pro-lifers, and anyone who dared to question the liberal orthodoxy. Lemon’s actions are just the rotten fruit of a tree planted by Obama, watered by Biden, and fertilized by Hillary’s bitterness.
But now, with Donald Trump back in the White House and law and order making a comeback like a 1980s rock ballad, the tables are turning. The DOJ isn’t looking the other way anymore. If you break the law, no matter how many Emmys you’ve collected or how many selfies you’ve taken with Busta Rhymes, you’re going to face consequences. And Don Lemon might want to start reading up on federal sentencing guidelines instead of cue cards.
Make no mistake, this isn’t just about one disgraced journalist gone rogue. This is about a culture on the left that thinks rules are for other people. They’ll shout down pastors, storm churches, and then cry victim when the handcuffs come out. But the American people are waking up. The woke circus is over, and the clowns are finally being held accountable.
