Oh how the tables have turned!
New York’s Attorney General Letitia James – a notorious hater of President Donald Trump – has been referred to the Department of Justice (DOJ) over damning allegations of mortgage fraud.
The U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced Thursday that they have CRIMINALLY referred James to the DOJ for alleged mortgage fraud – claiming she “falsified records” to get home loans for a property in Virginia which she claimed was her “principal residency” in 2023, while she was serving as AG in New York and had to have a primary residence in the state.
In 2021 she also purchased a 5-family Brooklyn property, but has “consistently misrepresented the same property as only having four units in both building permit applications and numerous mortgage documents and applications,” the letter noted. Through this lie, she was allowed to secure cheaper loans with lower mortgage rates.
This criminal referral is a formal request by the government agency asking for the DOJ to investigate James after uncovering that she had, in their eyes, committed a crime.
In 2018, James campaigned ENTIRELY on the promise that if she got into office she would go after President Trump. She didn’t have a crime, she only had target – Trump.
This was the only reason she was put in power.

FHFA Director William Pulte sent this letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche, claiming that she had done all of this this – while she was launching a civil fraud trial against President Trump for what she claimed was “falsifying records to inflate the values of his properties.”
This means that Letitia James investigated Trump for supposedly falsifying records… while she was allegedly actually doing it…
Eventually, a crooked Democrat Judge Arthur Engoron ruled in favor of James and forced Trump’s organization to pay upwards of $450 million in fines.
Law Professor Johnathan Turley recently spoke with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham and he broke down just how bad all of this really is for the Trump-hating James.
He broke down how she is pretty much dead-to-rights here based on a precedent which SHE SET by going after President Trump.
Turley told Ingraham “If we apply the Letitia James standard that she created, there’d be a little question here. This seems pretty straightforward. Obviously, the irony is perfectly crushing. This is a person who prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress…”

When President Trump won reelection in 2024, this corrupt AG said that her office had been “training for this” and they were “ready to fight” the incoming Trump administration… but it certainly looks like she will be a bit preoccupied!
