I like Breitbart News a lot. It’s been a reliably right-leaning news source ever since Andrew Breitbart himself founded it, with backing from Steve Bannon. But things can change over time and Breitbart’s coverage is definitely starting to slip in certain areas. Convergence of any organization is possible over if the ranks are not vigilantly policed. Conservatives are used to seeing this happen time and time again, and we’re always kind of left scratching our heads when we get stabbed in the back AGAIN by an entity we thought was on our side. (Hello, Drudge Report!) And it’s now clear that Breitbart is in the process of being converged and absorbed into just another mainstream media site.

Don’t get me wrong: Breitbart News still does a lot of great news coverage and has some great writers on staff. But the warning signs are there. The site is getting soft and gooey and liberal.

Take a look at Breitbart’s coverage of the election audits taking place in Arizona, Michigan and soon Georgia. Oh, wait. There isn’t any Breitbart News coverage of the audits. The audits are the #1 story among right-leaning Americans right now. We can’t wait to see the results of authentic, thorough forensic audits of what happened last November.

Virtually the only coverage that Breitbart has done on the audits has been the reprinting of Associated Press articles. Every AP article about the audits basically reads like this:

“Donald Trump is trying to overturn the 2020 election with a recount of Maricopa County, Arizona audits. There is no evidence to back up Trump’s insane conspiracy theories and lies. Trump’s recount is a threat to democracy. You will die if Donald Trump recounts the ballots, because reasons.”

Gee… thanks for reprinting that word-for-word, Breitbart News. It’s only about a 5-hour drive from Breitbart’s L.A. bureau to Phoenix, so they could send a reporter to cover the Maricopa County audit, but that would be too much trouble, I guess.

Instead, the secret Never Trump staff at Breitbart News has adopted the Tucker Carlson Voodoo Theory of Election Fraud. This is an appeasement theory that tries to ride the fence on the question of the 2020 election. Adherents to the Voodoo Theory don’t believe that there was “fraud-fraud” in the 2020 contest; instead, the “fraud” was the media’s refusal to talk about Hunter Biden more, which tricked 30 million people in four cities into voting for Joe Biden in the dead of night after the polls closed.

Both Tucker Carlson and Breitbart News have claimed that if only MSNBC and CNN had talked more about what a dirtbag Hunter Biden is, then maybe Trump would have won the election. This is such hogwash.

Breitbart News is giving wall-to-wall coverage of their senior editor’s new book, “Breaking the News.” It’s about media corruption, and the book itself seems to have a lot of good stuff in it. But the lack of mainstream media coverage of Hunter Biden was not the “fraud” in the 2020 election. I’m sorry, it just wasn’t. The fraud was 30 million(ish) fake ballots. And people on the right need to say that.

Since Tucker Carlson and Breitbart have been drum-beating their little Voodoo Theory of Election Fraud, conservative beliefs that the 2020 election was stolen has slipped from 90% to about 75%. People on our side of the fence are giving up the fight and mentally surrendering to the left’s BS on the 2020 election, because Carlson and Breitbart News won’t come out and say it: The 2020 election was stolen through massive ballot fraud, cheating, wonky machines and literal election fraud.

Hunter Biden was never going to affect the outcome of the 2020 election, even if CNN had covered his voluminous scandals. I wrote about Hunter Biden all the time in 2020, but I did it because he’s hilarious and he’s an embarrassment to his whole family. He smokes crack. He runs around with Chinese hooker spies. He puts things in his butt and does hippie campfire dancing out in the desert. (And the US Senate vote to put him in charge of Amtrak when Joe was Vice President was nearly unanimous!)

Anyway, the warning signs are there. Breitbart News is sadly slipping. Expect an endorsement of Kamala Harris from them in 2024, and then Breitbart will join the Drudge Report as one of those sites that we all used to visit on a regular basis.
