The average price to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Boston today is $3,517. The ICE raids in Massachusetts can’t happen fast enough to alleviate the problem. After the Democrats running Boston doled out hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to provide “free” housing to the illegal aliens Biden invited in, the city is now in one of the worst housing crises in the country. Young Americans can’t afford to live there at all. Even older working professionals are starting to think it’s time to get out.

While some blue cities in America quickly realized that Biden’s invasion was going to bankrupt them, Boston’s leaders cheered the flood of illegal arrivals — after all, what’s a little bankruptcy in exchange for a few more ‘diversity’ points?

Democrats in Massachusetts offered the incoming hordes more lavish benefits than any other state. They handed out pre-loaded debit cards and gave the illegals “free” dry cleaning, paid for by the taxpayers. They gave them brand-new tablets and laptops so they could watch porn at maximum volume while riding the bus.

But the most disastrous waste of taxpayer money, which made the cost of living unlivable in a short period of time, was a program called HomeBASE. This is a Massachusetts program that was designed to help homeless Americans transition back into regular life, particularly homeless veterans and homeless families with children.

HomeBASE was intended to provide American families who were struggling. They could get up to $30,000 in assistance over a two-year period. The money could be used to pay rent, utilities, and even buy new furniture. Because of the assistance, they were expected to find a job and become self-sufficient again.

Massachusetts leaders just diverted all the HomeBASE money to Joe Biden’s illegal aliens. Sure, homeless Americans were suddenly f***ed. But just look at all the diversity the city suddenly had!

Naturally, there were far more illegal aliens pouring in than homeless people in Boston. The cost of HomeBASE quickly spiraled out of control. Since 2023, the program has moved 5,000 illegal aliens into apartments. Boston didn’t have 5,000 empty apartments to begin with, so now Americans can’t find anyplace to rent in the city unless they’re fabulously wealthy. A three-bedroom apartment in Boston now averages $5,900 a month.

Now that the two-year limit on cash assistance is running out, the illegals are moving back into shelters or camping on the sidewalks. The city has turned into such a dump that it looks more like Paris than Boston these days.

When Americans benefited from the HomeBASE program, they were able to get back out into the workforce and find jobs. None of Biden’s illegals in Boston have found jobs in two years. Boston doesn’t have any crops that need picking, and there are only so many nanny positions available. Getting a work permit takes months—something almost none of them have attempted to do. Even if they could get jobs, they’re not going to be making enough to pay $3,517 a month for a one-bedroom apartment.

Who would even hire these people? Imagine you ran a small business and someone showed up with no work permit, can’t read or speak English, and has no relevant skills — would you hand them a job offer, or wonder why the federal government let them in to begin with?

Exactly what position in the company would you hire them for? Even if you had an opening in the HR department, you’d probably think twice before giving him a job, right? Not to mention the fact that it’s a federal crime to knowingly hire an illegal alien.

So, the HomeBASE program has run out of money, the illegals are ending up back on the street, homeless, and rents have been driven through the stratosphere in Boston. Great job, Democrats!

There is only one humane solution to this problem. Deport them all. Send them all back.

And yes, that includes the ones who “haven’t committed any crimes.” There’s no purpose in keeping them here. They’re never going to integrate into American society or reach the point where they can afford to rent a place in Boston (or any other major city). What’s the endgame here — permanent dependency? A citywide welfare program for non-citizens with no path to self-sufficiency?

Americans deserve better than this, so we all need to keep a stiff upper lip while ICE does its job.
