Biden’s Energy Secretary Asks Oil Executives to Increase Production to Take the Pressure off Soaring Gas Prices They Caused in the First Place

It’s safe to say at this point, Democrats have no fracking idea what they’re doing.

The Biden appointed officials are scrambling to do something…anything about the out of control energy prices in this country- despite the fact they caused the problems in the first place.

U.S Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, has asked fuel executives to increase production “to stabilize the market and to minimize harm to American families,” during a S&P Global conference, requesting that they “start producing right now.”

The conference was part of CERAWeek, hosted by S&P Global in Houston, Texas. Energy leaders from around the world were in attendance.

Since his first day in office, Biden has done everything he could to restrict the production of oil and natural gas in America. As a result, prices increased over the past year and now that Biden has banned the importation of oil from Russia, the situation is becoming dire.

“We have to responsibly increase short term supply where we can right now to stabilize the market and to minimize harm to American families,” Granholm said. “And that means releases from the strategic reserves across the world like we’ve done.”

“That means you producing more right now, where and if you can,” Granholm told the audience, adding, “In this moment of crisis, we need more supply,” referencing the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

CNBC reported in November 2021, on Granholm’s remarks during the United Nation’s climate change conference, which was held in Glasgow, Scotland – and they were very different from what they are today.

From CNBC:

Speaking to CNBC’s Steve Sedgwick at the COP26 climate change summit on Friday morning, Jennifer Granholm emphasized the importance of diversifying “into clean energy so that we are not reliant upon the volatility of fossil fuels.”

“It’s a doubling down on why we should diversify into clean energy so that we are not reliant upon the volatility of fossil fuels,” Granholm added.

“The bottom line is, this is … exactly why we should be, as a globe, focusing on getting our resources from the sun, from the wind, from the technology that we’ve developed in electric vehicles, etcetera.”

It was also noted by Fox Business, that Republicans have been attacked by Granholm, for requesting from Biden, what she had herself asked for – the reopening of the domestic energy sector – which would ease the price burden and create good paying jobs for Americans.

Granholm’s comments as reported by Fox:

“There are some here, maybe at least lobbyists or beltway politicians who seem to think that this is the time to recycle old talking points,” she said.

“People are arguing that if a pipeline that wouldn’t have even been in operation by now [were] still under construction, the situation with today’s oil prices would be different,” Granholm added. “Or that President Biden’s policies have decreased production when we’re actually at record levels of natural gas and LNG and will be at record levels of oil production… We all know that that is the same old D.C. B.S.”

The House Democrats have just passed a $1.5 trillion omnibus bill, which is about to make its way into the Senate for a vote.

In the bill, billions have been earmarked for the Democrats radical “Green New Deal,” penned by resident bobble head House Rep., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

It seems the Democrats quest for “clean” energy, is at the expense of Americans. But they will continue to blame anyone else for their failures and shortcomings, while American families suffer from their foolishness.
